For the longest time I decided not to post anything here and leave my vote for Picard, being as I’m a fan of Patrick Stewart. However, today I backtracked through the posts, wondering if anyone had posted something on the late James Doohan - and sure enough, thanks to the most enigmatical goat-headed (avatar) Scythekain, I found this quoted on his thread-starting post:

Sure, but it mostly fair to talk about the character not the actor. I have always enjoyed Rock Hudson movies. However, if you view them in light of his personal life, then they are a joke.
