Death is never neat

“That is what Jesus did.”

Yeah? Were you there? Prove it.

You ignore the principles of philosophy, a reasoned pursuit of fundamental truths, which seeks to establish standards of “evidence”.
Which you totally ignore.

I am fucktose intolerant of your bullshit.

Human nature does not change.
The Word reflects this in the promise of life everlasting.
Who would deny this opportunity to “continue”.
Yet this has changed somewhat subtly with the Audacious Papal Claims:
The Pope as Christ

The Pope as “Christ on earth”, the Criterion of Salvation,
the Definition of the Faith, the Ruler of the World.

Quotations from Roman Catholic Popes,

All is needed is to convert to Catholicism.

.

If?

That is the gaping flaw, in the whole self=other mental construct.
.

If the way I’ve seen you treat people is the way you treat yourself, then god help humanity.

You do you, but stop telling others what they should live by.

oh you poor thing. give me that sugar, baby.

…definitely don’t want to use me as an example. Don’t look at me - look at him.

I hope you mean “God help humanity” seriously.

Practice what you preach, much?

I’m no Catholic, but I’m pretty sure you just misrepresented everybody who says they’re Catholic.

P.S. human nature may not change, but humans can change (for better or worse…)… so what was your point there?

Waters of Being

I have sailed on the waves of consciousness,
Felt the spray of the wind’s whispered truth.
I have swum in rivers that rush and sing,
Through poetry, philosophy, and the vast pools of knowledge.

I have drunk from bubbling brooks of wisdom,
Their waters deep with spirituality’s glow.
Yet here you stand, extolling virtues
Of a biblical backwater, cloaked in algae’s green veil.

Yes, it is water—but lifeless, still.
It must be stirred to breathe, to pulse, to give.
Oxygenate it, let it flow,
Spreading life to every form, every soul.

Do not reduce it to a stagnant pond,
Where movement dies and spirits drown.
For waters, when freed, become a force—
A torrent of creation, a sea of rebirth.

Human beings seem to have the desire to live forever, as in most religions there is an interpretation of death and afterlife.

All accept that there is an afterlife of some type.

Reincarnation is a well accepted belief within modern Pagan and New Age religions of the world.

Christianity offers “life everafter” with streets paved with gold and precious stones, (?) but, only if you accept the terms and conditions demanded.

With Buddhists Life is the most precious of all treasures. Even one extra day of life is worth more than ten million ryo of gold.

They believe once Nirvana is achieved then the enlightened individual physically dies and they will no longer be reborn.

The goal of Buddhism is to reach this Nirvana, a state that can only be attained by eliminating greed, hatred and ignorance.

Good luck with that one.

It appears the only people who escape the burden of life everafter are Atheists, people who disbelieve or lack belief in the existence of God or gods.

…belief does not dictate reality.

…especially misrepresented belief.

…what a lazy thinker you are.

.

Then that’s not self=other.

.

…telling others what they should do again, I see.

.

I don’t tell others what they should live by, but you do… all the time.

You are blind to your own ways and instead project those ways onto others.

.

I’m done here… :wave:t2:

Well, if you want to live out of an encyclopedia, okay. I prefer enthused literature, lived tradition, the wind in my face, and the baby’s chuckle. We are spiritually children and our stories are childish, but they are a pointing finger, which shows a direction. We must follow that direction and not dwell with the finger.

You told me not to tell others— That’s doing the very thing you’re telling me not to do.

That is the opposite of practicing what you preach.

Are you trying to trick me because you know I have oppositional defiance disorder?

It is a battle of wits.

Just keep doing what you’re doing.

If you lose your spirit to seek, you will definitely fall prey to arrogance or inertia, if you have not already done so.

Noted.

Lol… Ecmandu always tells me I have that disorder, and now you’ve self-proclaimed that you do - those who have it wouldn’t admit to having it, let alone self-proclaim that they do.

.

Making my point for me… again. :clap:t3:

I have no idea what you mean by this…except perhaps it shows you are in need of emotional succor/emotionally damaged.

Of course you don’t know. Your religious blinkers prevent you from looking left and right, and you are proud of it!

I was privileged to have engaged myself in the world, cared for the dying, washed the demented, and fed those who couldn’t feed themselves. It helped me gain a new perspective and break out of the religious restraints holding you back…

Is it possible you’re wrong about that?

There is only one trunity who is.
