I faxed some things at a copy store and then waited in line to pay afterward. After waiting a while the girl finally asks what i want. I told her i wanted to pay for what i faxed and she snippily says that I can pay for that in front of the store.

Ha, I thought to myself. My services are already done for me, Im standing here so that I can pay these people for their benefit and she has the nerve to send me to another register?

So I walked toward the other cash register—and then right out the door. It’s not like they knew I didn’t pay anyway.

So…what do you think? Am I baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad? What would you have done? Honestly?

You knowingly left the store without paying, so yes, you stole - if they had given you less change, or thought you had already payed then that is their problem. THIEF!!!

Oddly, or NOT, there is a separation between the moral consideration (that you stole) and the emotional one.

You want to hear that since the girl was a bitch, that it’s okay for you to steal.
