I think that someone someplace must have been responsible for that, and that they had something to gain, and that in secret they killed the power to try and change the outcome of the game and that all of the evidence was destroyed. In spite of that lack of evidence, I assert that the whole thing was a result of the will of some powerful people and that everyone else in the world outside their loop is just a pawn in the sick game they’re playing.
Clearly that’s what Harbaugh (Ravens) thought. Did you see him cussing out that one big wig in a suit? The level of professionalism and sportsmanship was super.
There’s allot of spirits, aliens and humans that conspire shit. They aren’t a unified force which controls everything, but the hidden hand is out there. The alternative is shit like this : There’s no spirits, no aliens, and humans don’t form secretive groups that try to control things or exploit people.
I turned that shit off after the first quarter, didn’t even make it as far as the halftime show. What happened? Did the loose tackles win out over the tight ends, or something similarly homosexual?
Hey man, the Ravens won. The reason why they won is that they have 2 players from Alabama. If the 49ers had had 3 players from Alabama then they would have won. Good game though. Being an Alabama fan, most of the time when I watch a football game it’s either a shutout or something similar. It’s nice to see the other team put up a fight once in a while.
I used to follow American football, about 20 years ago. I was reading this and wondering who the Ravens are, so I looked up the two conferences… what happened? You’ve got something like a third of the teams weren’t around two decades ago. Houston Oilers and LA Raiders have gone. I can’t keep up, it all moves too quickly for me. I think most of the top rugby teams have been around for a century and a half.
The conspiracy is that so many people think that fucking thing mattered and how that comes about. How well informed and critical people can be about stuff that does not matter at all.
But the conspiracy, of course, is complicated, and needs a lot of ignorant collusion and denied fear of understanding anything that might be, well, scary.
So no smoke filled room meetings are needed for this. It’s a by product of other conspiracies, poor choices, denial or rather this yearning to be distracted and naive.
Yes, surely someone must be responsible for creatures like us being into sports for recreation and leisure.
Naturally.
Just to be clear: What is the by product? —Is it that people like sports? Is it that they see conspiracy when there’s a simple power outage, or when they stub their toe? What is it?
And which conspiracy is it tied to? 9/11? Area 51? The moon landing? What? —Or, or… are all conspiracccciiiiesss connnecctteeeddd…
Am I to conclude from this that you didn’t watch the SuperBowl? I don’t care what else you have to say, I only want to know whether you’ll reinforce my sense of identity by saying you did the same thing as me.
I did not watch the super bowl. I did not even know who was playing until after and some people came and told me. I did not know that one of the teams existed. Which is not to say I am immune to distraction, but as far as sports I have always vastly preferred playing to watching. And American football I find generally boring to watch. I can’t see much of the interesting body movement subtlties. compared to basketball, which I don’t watch either, it’s just watching a bunch of synthetic (colored) uniforms clump and declump.
Interesting take. Both on what I said and what our natural impulses to recreation and leisure are. Those people are so lucky that people are so interested in the Super Bowl and not other kinds of recreation, which is only relevant in this context to the people on the field, and leisure. Because it is the most intrinsically interesting event. And watching is naturally more interesting than participating - which would show and actual interest recreation. How lucky they are those who make money off that event. Its the luck Nike has with urban poor children. It’s the luck McDonalds has. You can see this kind of luck in politics also.
Finally some agreement.
Well, first of all, it seems like even the authorities considered it was terrorism, though they did rule this out eventually. So conspiracy theories, as per usual come from all sides when ‘bad’ things happen.’
If only people were as interested in conspiracy and collusion when it has to do with things like, say, the recent financial crash, with the same degree of interest they have in sports and how their team got robbed.
When you can actually formulate a reasonable question on the issue, I’ll be happy to discuss it with you. Oh, I mean, gosh I feel so silly. I did mean the Moon Landing. I am so transparent.
Anyway, it would be great if someone like Buy Nothing activists conspired to create a power outage at the Super Bowl.
Except then 'our representatives ’ would probably add in pernicious addenda to the Patriot Act in response.
Superdome blackout- Revamping the existing system was behind it. Those in charge took the cheapest bid on the job, probably then screwed that company and so true to form, the company left a glitch in the system so that when at full drawing power, blackout. At least that is what I am betting on. No conspiracy, just ethics.
