The spectrum of devine experience extends far beyond ‘fine feelings’, hallucinations or other things that are just in your head. The last man would disagree but only because he lives a sheltered existence. The Seven Seals in Thus Spoke Zarathustra are a testiment to the breadth of Nietzsche’s knowledge on the subject. These phenomena are not proof of the existence of something supernatural in the world (for example, the Christian God). Nevertheless, men of faith have considered them so from the beginning.
So, say there was a god, and he gives you a brain tumor or schizophrenia, undeniable in your head, but why couldn’t ‘god’ or some DIVINITY, implant shit in your head like that? they would still be ‘just in your head’ though.
I didn’t say that God couldn’t do that. Simply that such things do not prove the existence of anything supernatural. Be aware that God of my understanding is not in any way supernatural (unlike, say, the Christian God).
Bump.
