Yes Moreno this is what I see! The humble become arrogant and they say “ah I am so humble, I know everything after all. And you are so proud, so I am such a better person than you, as humble as I am. Poor thing. Wait until you are about half as humle as I am then I can begin to teach you. For now you can only bow and learn to kiss my humble feet.”
Arrogance means that a person believes himself to be more important (related to narcissism). Confidence means that the person can see no reason to disbelieve.
You certainly think but not enough to get the right conclusion.
This is true that humbleness may lead to knowledge and it is also true that knowledge may lead to arrogance.
But, you are missing a point here that it happens only in the case when one loses its initial humbleness during or after acquiring the knowledge, otherwise not.
That is precisely what wisdom is; how to behave after acquiring the knowledge.
One cannot and should not comment on anything without experiencing it, just for being politically correct.
Secondly, it is true that one can experience some extraordinary feeling under the influence of drugs. Whether going though that is right or wrong is a diferent question.
During the influence of drugs, conscious mind loses the control over the body and subconscious mind, and feeling hindden within come out, which are used to be filtered by the conscious mind during normal condition. That is why a drunken man becomes more honest.
Furthermore, some drugs influence and activate some such nerve centers of the mind, which generally do not take any active part in the usual mental functions. Generally, a large portion of the mind remains unused thoughout the life. That requires some special means for activation and drugs are one of those.
Having said that, at the end of day, drugs are more harmful than helpful, for the simple reason because the person trying that neither knows what is happening nor capable of handeling that. Thus, it becomes a habit and ruins a life.
Whether you like it or not, the facts will remain as facts. Humbleness has nothing to do with kissing feet or any such other symbolism. But, it is not your fault. Westners generally do not understand what takes to be a true learner.
And, from my experience i know it very well that one cannot add anything to such a thing that is already full and do not want to vacate any space for anything new either. It would be useless attempt.
Yes, you can argue but not learn. These are two entirely different things.
That is true by also a thumb rule only, and one has to deviate from that sometimes in order to protect the ignorant from any harm ( getting misperception).
Humbleness means that one is not proud of his knowledge but does not mean apathy or appeasement. Humbleness means either not to be proud of knowledge nor show it, when it is not required. Showing or using one’s knowledge with good intention and purpose is not against humbleness.
I am not calling you ignorant. I never said that so please do not put your words in my mouth.
Of course, there are enumerable people in the world, who know more than me regarding many issues.
And, you may be one of them. Given.
Furthermore, we all are ignorants, including you and me also, it is merey an issue of quantity, not quality.
