I don’t believe there is any difference between someone who is a normal person and a person who is a priest.
They still have the same qualities as a regular person.
There is one story I have from my teacher, that the founder of the orphanage, was a priest and nun who had a secrect affair, and she became pregant. So they hide their secrect and created the orphanage.
Does it matter? If humans “sin” and all “sins” are equal, does it matter which one chooses?
I was raised mormon and as a mormon, masterbating is “bad” um-k? 
I also went on a mormon mission, like I was taught from youth was right, wondeful and my duty to do so, and after my mission is when I realized that that religion was not for me. 
Anyway, Yeah, I still masterbated on my mission, even though I would feel very dirty and sinful and immoral, and I know many other missionaries who did. 
Ideologies can be powerful, but don’t underestimate the power of our hormones.

Priest’s and nuns may masturbate, but I can’t see them starting threads about the matter on the internet. Perhaps that counts as a difference?
Then I suppose you all agree that priests , nuns are no different then we are, as normal people. Because they have the same needs as we do, think like we do, and has the same temptation as we have.
Why do we give them a special authority sometimes, like the pope.
I can see why the president, because he is like part of the constitution. But what does the pope govern?
Um, he governs the Church.
I don’t understand how a religion can take itself seriously, when it denies you somthing that is completely natural.
Then again, I am 17 and male, so this could be completely biased. 
But to answer your question, I’m sure a lot of them do. But they are not suspossed to.
Catholic priests don’t masturbate- they have altarboys for that.

The church is not a system, the best response would be the archidoese.
But I bet it is those cardinals job to do that. If the pope governs the church, what is the job or function of the church? Is it not to preach each sunday masses, the same thing over and over again. They are slaves. Their minds are slaves to the pope. What happens if the pope is a tyrant? Or if the pope is
not intelligent as those of a great philosopher or whatever?

I don’t know what your stance is here thirst4metal. Are you saying that masterbation is bad by comparing it to murder? If so, what are your basis for this stance? b/c to me, I believe modern medical science which shows that males who ejacualate 5 or more times a week have significantly less risk of prostrate cancer than males who don’t. (which is obvious since you strengthen your parts 
and you rid it of toxins.) also, murder hurts another person, masterbation only affects you . . . (and your health and stress level) But I am not quite sure why your wrote the above, maybe I’m rambeling off in the high dessert here and need to come back to town, do you care to clarify?
ps. I do not think murder comes completely natural. I think it may be natural for some, and under some circumstances, but the masses of humans even in societies without police don’t just murder all the time. Masturbation however is a very common sexual practice in humans, and some other species. Your comparison is apples and grapefruit.
as crude as your question sounds,mastrubation is a stage in life,it’s a high possibility nuns do so,but pope’s i doubt,mean lose virginity very quickly.
I’m a nun. I’ve double clicked my mouse twice since I’ve been reading this thread. God helps us get off easy. Of course it’s a sin, but that’s why I go to confession. I offer confession to most of the priests and you would be amazed at the number of hail marys they have to say for each love session. For the ones that don’t, there is a little door between the confession rooms for easy hand access. 
What happens in the confessional stays in the confessional!!!

I don’t think that whether or not priests and nuns “masturbate” is relevant to this board.
Theologically, clergy are different because they are choosing to live a disciplined life; as one does when joining the military, joining the royal guard, becoming a culinary master, master painter, etc…
They are choosing to adhere to a strict set of guidelines and rules for an endeavor that is valued more to them on the whole than smaller valued interests of what they consider the mundane or typical.
In the case of the theological disciplines, the forfeit of human desire is common among many religious forms as it seems to be a common human perception that forcing ones mind to deny human desire in general allows for the mind to focus more on the spiritual mind or soul; in a way, it is assumed that the human desire in the mind is the noise of traffic and the soul is the trickling of water.
If you want to hear the water, so it goes, you have to cut down the racket of the traffic.
Whether that is valid or not is aside from the reasons I mention it.
I simply offer the above as the explanation as to why such cases as restriction of masturbation among clergy of various faiths is part of their human desire restrictions.
