Today, the difference between religions has gone to the level of terrorism and the peace is not only cracked into pieces but also ground to fine powder. The ignorant fanatics of a religion are killing the innocent people of other religion. Such killing is not Jihad of Islam and also not Dharma Yuddha of Hinduism. You may argue that Mohammad brought the unity of religions through sword and therefore conversion of other religion into your religion must be through violence.
In the time of Mohammad, the religions were many and were quarrelling with each other by swords and that was affecting the peace to a great extent. Mohammad preached the unity of religions and finally had to use the sword only to stop several swords fighting with each other. That is not the situation in the present time. In every country all the religions are co-existing peacefully like the different members of the same family. The reason is that the humanity is well advanced in education and improved a lot in the faculty of logic through advancements of science and technology. Of course, you are free to teach your religion or even prove the defects of other religion through arguments and debates. If people are convinced, they will follow your religion. If not, you have to leave them peacefully.
Q’ran says that one should preach about Allah and leave the person with safety. Mohammad never said to use the sword when the religions are co-existing with peace and love to each other.
Gita came out from a war. But the war was not based on the deference in the religions. It was based on eradicating the injustice used to grab the property of some brothers by their brothers. Lord Krishna tried a lot for compromise. It was a war based on the division of property and not on the division of religions. Even in that war, innocent people living in villages and cities were not killed through terrorism. Only selected soldiers fought with each other in a selected place called Kurukshetra. You should not say that Aswatthama killed the people in sleep in the midnight and this is a part of Dharma Yuddha [Jihad]. But Aswatthama killed the soldiers of other side only and never entered the city of Pandavas and killed innocent people as done by terrorists today. Seeing these cruel activities of terrorism based on the difference in the religions, all the three human incarnations [Krishna, Jesus and Mohammad] from heaven are deeply pained because the same absolute God exists in all the three forms, who is the single creator of the entire humanity. The father is terribly pained if one of his sons kills the other son.
Q’ran says that a Muslim should protect even the enemy belonging to other religion. It says that a Muslim can speak about the preaching of Allah to the enemy and then leave the enemy in protected place. It never says that the religion should be spread by violence. It speaks about the war for justice, which is not the war for propagation of religion. For that matter, Gita arose only from the state of war, which was fought for establishing justice. Even Bible says that the rigid fools who do not realize should be thrown to the liquid fire, which is violence. Therefore, violence is not wrong. But the cause of violence should be perfectly justified. When Mohammad came, there were three hundred religions, which were quarelling among themselves with lot of violence. He tried His best by preaching the concept of one God. There was no alternative way to subside the violence between them.
Actually after Jesus, the concept of human incarnation was fully realized but this concept was exploited by cheaters. Every fellow became a prophet and declared himself as the human incarnation. The followers started preaching that particular form is only the one God. You can imagine easily the situation at the time. When violence is justified, it is called as punishment given by God. If the violence is not justified, it becomes Chaos due to egoism of a demon, which can be subsided only by divine punishment. Actually at the end, Hinduism speaks about the incarnation of Kalki and Christianity speaks about the final punishment given by God. Both these situations are of terrible violence only.
The last sort of God is only punishment, which can alone bring peace at least temporally for some time when the world is filled with brutal conservative fools, who are the wild beasts in the human form. The Lord says in Bible “Revenge is mine” which means the Lord punishes the unjust people. The Lord said in Gita that He will destroy the evil person (Vinasaya cha….). God is double-edged knife. Not only He protects the justice but also He punishes the injustice. A rich weak human being may protect the justice but may not be able to punish the injustice. A poor strong fellow may punish the injustice but not protect the justice by giving compensation. Thus, the human beings have limitations but the Lord is strong as well as rich and therefore is capable in both sides.
This is the meaning when Jesus mentioned about the divine kingdom on the earth. He means that one may escape the king on this earth but can never escape God. When you are affected by injustice, pray for compensation only (“Ask that shall be given”-Bible) and not for the punishment of enemy. You will be compensated. When you do not pray for the punishment of enemy, you will see the punishment of your enemy soon from God. You may react to your enemy with equal or double force. But God will react with million times of force. Draupadi was pestering Krishna for the destruction of her enemies. The Lord fulfilled her wish but all her sons were killed by enemies and Lord did not protect them. Some times God punishes your enemy through your self. Arjuna killed the enemies, forced by the Lord. But Arjuna was not having the intention to kill the enemies and was against the war. Since he was forced by the Lord, he fought the war for justice.
When Muslims followed Mohammad in His war for unifying the religions, it was justified because there was clear divine instruction. Since Mohammad was the last divine preacher, now the war for justice need not be carried on because in the absence of divine preacher there is every possibility of misunderstanding of every situation as requirement for war of justice. Therefore, the instruction of Mohammad was limited to that time because He was capable of deciding the correct requirement for war for justice. Mohammad removed the concept of human incarnation because the effects of exploitation were severe in that time. Muslims should realize that human incarnation means that God entered in the human body and not that God modified as human body. Mohammad objected only modification of God in to human body. This is not condemning the concept of human incarnation. God only enters the human body and Mohammad himself was the human incarnation because God entered in to Mohammad and gave Q’ran. Gita clearly says that God entered the human body (Manusheem Tanu Asritam…) and that God is not modified in to human body(Avyaktam Vyakti Mapannam…). Bible also says that God is in flesh and does not say that God has become flesh. Thus, there is no difference between three religions.
Hello datta. Is this the same quran that allows wives to be beat up if the husband suspects their cheating?
Is this the same quran that preaches distrust of Christians and Jews and calls the Jews a cursed and lying people?
Is this the same quran that mentions slavery but makes no effort to ban it? The same quran that says that accidental death caused by a muslim requires a slave to be freed if he kills a non-muslim, but needs to make payments to the deceased’s family if the person is muslim?
Or if we’re addressing war:
38. Say to the Unbelievers, if (now) they desist (from Unbelief), their past would be forgiven them; but if they persist, the punishment of those before them is already (a matter of warning for them).
39. And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah altogether and everywhere; but if they cease, verily Allah doth see all that they do.
It makes no mention of a prophet being present for carrying out “justice”.
Or perhaps the fact that a warrior muslim is more valuable than the most pious muslim?
And you would be aware that saying muhammad is “an incarnation of god” is in fact heresy and nowhere in the entire quran is the infinite god implied to come down personally as incarnations; rather the prophets merely have divine guidance by god. The quran clearly opposes the idea of the trinity and other similarly silly notions of “god incarnate”.
Islam is by no means a religion of peace and the sooner people actually read it, the sooner we can make the distinction between moderate muslims who select what to read and interpret and the rest who see western secular culture as a union of unbelievers.
And I don’t really know very much about hinduism but the Dharma Yuddha you’re referring to is I believe more a personal struggle rather than the group movement envisioned in the quran. You’d have to discuss that with someone else though.
There is lot of corruption in the scriptures due to misinterpretation, inclusion, and deletion. For this reason only God is coming in human form, in every human generation to give the correct version of scripture, since He is the source of all the original scritpure.
Right, I forgot to mention I know that the quran is wrong because I’m god incarnate.
I’m an infinite being putting a “piece” of myself into this physical being and although science tries to trick you by saying that I’m the sum of my physical attributes and that if I, for example, suffered from shell shock I’d be a completely different person, I am still god and my physical form is only there so you can relate to me. Never mind that doing this would violate very simple thermodynamic laws upon which this entire world is based and that there is no invisible hand to make virgins pregnant and control flocks of birds but hey, it’s fine to live with a mindset that values faith over knowledge.
I don’t think believers consider the references to verses in the quran in the previous post as corruption. Muslims, and there’s alot of them, believe the quran is infallible and you know, if god is infinitely powerful and if we go with your assumption that it was in fact he who performed all our bodily functions while on this earth and took several wives to quench his sexual desire while incarnated as muhammad, and likes to meddle in this world through miracles on other occasions, maybe he can manage to keep his books uncorrupted. But apparently he can’t. Surprise!
The world-peace is very important in Pravrutti (balance of social justice). You can praise your religion, but should not try to throw mud on other religions. A devotee says that the Prophet Mohammed forced a girl for marriage and hence Godly qualities do not exist in him. A similar criticism is also present in the case of Krishna, dancing with Gopikas in Hinduism. Even in Christianity, the crucifixion of Jesus can be blamed as the incapability of Jesus to save Himself. But you are interpreting that it is not the incapability of Jesus but it is His unimaginable love to the devoted mankind to save it from the punishments of the sins through His personal crucifixion. Thus, for every activity of human incarnation, there will be a valid background without understanding which, you should not pass on comments on the other religions.
Krishna stole the butter from the houses of Gopikas and this cannot be equated to the stealing of butter by ordinary thieves. A thief steals butter for his personal needs. But Krishna stole the butter (the wealth of Gopikas) to cut their bond with the wealth forcibly. It was done since all of them requested the Lord in the previous birth for their salvation from the worldly bonds. You should not equate the human incarnation with a human being. A deed may be same, but its background decides the result. Killing a person in the war is not a sin but killing a person in the society is a serious crime. In that case also, killing a person to save her character or life is not again a crime. A person may not kill directly but is considered to be a criminal if he plans it with intention. Hence, the analysis is very important and you should not come to hasty conclusions. A real doctor spends lot of time and energy on diagnosis. If the diagnosis is correct, the corresponding treatment requires no time for implementation. But, today, we find many doctors jumping to treatment by either little or no diagnosis. Your little or no analysis about the background of the human incarnation leads to such hasty conclusions.
You should have patience at least to analyze the light concepts such as above. If you are hasty even in such light points, how can you have the hectic patience to analyze the basic concepts of Advaita philosophy, which say that awareness is God and you are God since you are awareness (soul).
