Actually, even though you’re not fully aware of something, part of you is at all times. And you’re really the only one caching it except for the people that you affect that are around you.
Unless they are Christians and they love you despite your crap. The only reason they would cache that **** is because they don’t want to just watch you dissolve back into the mud. But if you resist their attempts to “kick your ass,” they’ll let you. …unless they too are in the process of mud wallowing. It’s a very slippery, muddy slope.
Guys guys guys, just want to know (curious) what the book of parodites’ about? He goes through pretty parodisiac tengents I didn’t always gave time to figure out, but some stuff he refers to are interesting when cherry-picked (when not feeling sorry for the guy obviously not doing so well). Wanna know the content or if he change his prose to something more “digestible” - that is to say even a bit closer to Hegel’s Phenomenology of spirit would be less time consuming to grasp. What is the Glorious Risk he talks about?
I have some theories about Parodites. I think part of his reasons for his style of prose comes from (if you ignore his almost too obvious warning to parody in his name) the fact that he calls himself cryptognostic. He maybe kinda want to violate our intuition of reality, perception and Ideas to see through the veil created by the so called demiurge. Speculative bs probably but anyways lol.
That is to say, under the tons of references he is not necessarily deeper than the modern polarized joe on some issues it seems. He kinda is a cryptognostic neo-New Age guy (saying we currently moving towards the next stage of something something, which I heard tons of times before in New Age people). “One cannot refute what one has not thoroughly understood.” said Strauss, but that is to say how can you thouroughly understand Parodites, willingly hidding under tons of levels and strates of irony and parody. As I said, some references and sayings cherry-picked from his can be interesting to explore further. But I think to truly try to fully understand him might be pointless and madening for reasons mentionned above.
“The misfortune suffered by clear-minded and easily understood writers is that they are taken for shallow and thus little effort is expended on reading them; and the good fortune that attends the obscure writers is that the reader toils at them and ascribes to them the pleasure he has in fact gained from his own zeal.”
-Nietzsche, Human too human
This might explains the amount of time we spent on trying lol
You know, it’s interesting, we’re out here talking about Frodo’s quest and such, and, you know, staffs, and I ran into an actual ring of power. And I’m making a snap decision to throw it into the Mordor fire marshes. Well ok I don’t have the time or disposition to do that, but I’m leaving it there for some other hapless fool to grab it.
We’re doing this the Gandalf way. Fuck.
