Absolute (independent or non-contingent) evil cannot exist because it is privative on the good (or neutral good… the beautiful). Evil does exist just like rust and decay do exist. Not absolutely on its own.
The negative form of the golden rule (don’t violate consent) is the flipside of the positive (respect consent) that has to exist or the negative can’t exist (and vice versa). Standing perfectly still doing nothing violates consent in bad faith when to respect consent means you actively do something (actively show love and not avoid action out of fear you will cause pain/suffering) (to fail to act is to act falsely).
