Genius forums was founded by a bunch of mysogynists, David Quinn, and Kevin Solway, and I forgot the other guy. Kevin makes a bunch of youtube videos. He is a misanthrope, he views humans as a bunch of stupid primates who act unconsciously. But he is also a philanthropist, because he wants the world to be a better place. Most of his videos are about how dumb humans are, or about the nature of existence. He doesn’t really go much deeper than just saying existence is a contrast. Most of his videos say genius is something along the lines of being one with the universe, understanding the totality of all things, but he doesn’t really go deeper and explain what that entails. All of the founders are from Australia. Some of the videos bash religion and are often hilarious. Other videos are especially misanthropic, bashing anyone who soughts after love, likening them to masochistic idiots. His other videos are misogynistic rants complaining about gamergate, Anita Sarkesian, and how women are idiots.
Quinn is a little bit different, and defines genius as the Roman wise men. He criticizes Einstein’s philosophy and classifies it as “the musings of a 16 year old girl.” Diebert moderates the forum, and doesn’t seem philanthropic like the other two. He seems rather Nihilistic and uncaring about the state of the world. He looks down on everyone with an ego, despite him having a big ego, or at least the illusion. Some people complain about his moderation but others dont mind him. Kelly Jones is the other boss of the gang, but she runs a separate forum of her own, called “Men of the Infinite”. She identifies as a tomboyish woman, who dislikes women. She seems to be fixated on the subject of whether or not consciousness has a separation or not.
The goal of the Genius Forums seems to be enlightenment. Their definition of enlightenment is a oneness with everything, where they litterally feel their body become part of the ground and earth. This coincides with Kevin’s definition of genius, which is a oneness with the totality. The other half is recognizing causality and losing the belief of freewill.
Their psychology is unclear. Many of them are on disability income, and Kelly is a self-professed schizotype who finds it difficult to interact with people. Kevin Solway’s biography is unclear, he says he dated a girl for a year as a boy, and then that exhausted the possibility of future relationships. What he means by this is unclear, perhaps he mean that after one year, he simply became bored of girls. Or maybe he means, that his girlfriend put a hex on him, or became a stalker, and prevented him from every obtaining any future relationships. Many of the writings will seem unclear. For instance, Kelly Jones writes an essay about how wise people should cherish hypocrisy, and not living up to their own ideals. Many of their writings embrace solitude and avoiding social interaction as the path to wisdom, but many of them spend their time making live action Youtube videos for the world to see, which is a form of social interaction.
All in all, it is rather hilarious, and it would hard to deduce the exact psychology at play, sort of trying to deduce the psychology of a Monty Python skit. Most of the people who visit the forum are old men, and based on their interactions, I deduce they watch a lot of Nova documentaries. A lot of their talk involves such topics you would deduce spurred from watching these documentaries. Many of them complain about the quantum magi and how modern science cannot be relied on anymore. Many of their discussions are about the logical coherency of statements and whether or not something is true, which they are quick to measure contradictions in others, but they often make contradictions when posting their own material. But the overall goal of the forums seems to be abandoning ego.
Here is a quote from “Along the Way”, a type of username you might find in the Genius Forums. This post was created in ILP, but it is something you might see in the normal Genius Forums habitat.
According to this man, being “ego free” is the same as being “filled to the brim with deep compassion, love, fear, and shame.” These feelings seem the same as dwelling in the feminine. Egads! Could it be??? Could the people, all the he-man woman haters in the Genius Forums…really be mentally female??? I mean, it would explain a lot of things, such as the steady stream of Youtube videos they pump out, with their face in every one, for the world to see. They cannot resist it.
Many of these men complain about love and view women as something to be avoided. Many of these are older men. Older men often have female type hormone levels. It would also explain some of their hypocratic behavoirs. It would also explain their obsession with stillness, tranquilty, and obsession with keeping the boards clean of noise. It would also explain their infatuation with Nature…Also, if you examine demographics, geniuses tend to be more feminine looking than other males.
i think they are jealous of women, because they are too high level to enjoy love. Kind of like Frodo, who became too high level to waste his time at the bar with Sam. Also, their compassion for men is like a wife, who wants her man to be free like a man.
i think that there should be a video game called Super Internet Brothers. We put all of the internet characters into lump boat, Satyr, Erik, Kevin Solway, etc, like a parody. I believe my special powers should be controlling lightning, and my background story involves a DNA machine. It would be exactly the same as Smash Brothers and the final boss would be Hitler or Anita Sarkisian or something. Now that is what I call “genius”.
