Genocide in Gaza? Part II

You must be frustrated. Ichthus is good at evoking such feelings. I stayed away from ILP for a couple years because she and Ecmandu dominated so many threads with inanities. In all the years I have read your posts, I have rarely if ever before seen you result to name calling.

Well I remember when I was a moderator on ILP. I was working a full time day job too. Policing ad hominem attacks on ILP would have been a full time job. Like cleaning up the Stygian stables. A herculean task. One appreciates moderate moderators like Carleas and Flannel Jesus who know when to hold em know when to fold em know when to walk away and know when to run.

You know, according to the gospels Jesus himself resorted to name calling. He referred to pharisees as “whited sepulchers” for instance. He implied that a Syro-Phoenecian woman was a dog. Was he frustrated? Off topic, true. Of course, he had a way with some people that got him crucified. I’m rambling. I wish to make a point while avoiding a conclusion, maybe to inject a little humor into a thread full of horror where its appropriateness itself is questionable. Anyway, letting go is like breathing—necessary for life.

Isn’t that when the 6 hostages recently got killed—with a policy to do the same if it happens again? Palestine has to boot Hamas/Iran/globalists & not blame Israel for doing what Palestine won’t.

Bob & I used to clash back in the day. I finally just ignored him. I like saying he’s an upbeat lady a thousand times better.

You seem to intentionally provoke people. That makes civil discourse a challenge.

Maybe civil discourse is not the answer.

These shares are from 2014. A decade has passed. How long?

I don’t think frustration is the right word. It suggests feeling annoyed or less confident because you cannot achieve what you want. Ichthus doesn’t make me feel that way. She displays feeble-mindedness by sticking to her position despite the overwhelming evidence, which is probably a sign of insecurity compensated by aggressiveness. Men do this, often in a more openly aggressive way, as we have seen in the past on ILP.

In Germany, they say, “Es kann nicht sein, was nicht sein darf!“ This means that something that is not allowed to be true can’t be true. She enthusiastically takes this position on Israel every time. It doesn’t matter that British doctors, American aid workers, Film material, IDF footage posted online, ICJ ruling, Israeli witnesses and the statements of Israeli politicians prove a case; the deepest crater causing the most deaths cannot be a sign of genocide.

The fact is that the West is complicit in this conflict by not reporting on Gaza or the West Bank, where, hourly, people are being killed, evicted, chased, mutilated, beaten up, or taken hostage. A Palestinian health worker recently died in prison after being taken from his ambulance and incarcerated. She will say, “Blame Hamas!” But this has been going on even before Hamas was formed (with the support of Netanyahu).

…deliberately picking fights, to quiet the inner turmoil in their mind.

It has already been said that forums aren’t the place for that/as therapy, but yet they still insist on doing it.

I honestly can’t believe you guys take yourselves seriously. I honestly think you’re programmed to behave the way you’re behaving. I don’t know why. But if the words you’re saying come to fruition … just remember those were the words that you sowed. In the name of “civil” discourse you silenced people who were defending themselves against aggressors you defended.

.
Only ever offers opinions, not facts / no circumstantial evidence, cries wolf when it suits them, all are racist, confidence is racist, blah blah blah!

We are saying a genocide is happening. What are you imagining we are saying?

Anyone supporting Israel is a fucking psychopath, or literally THAT totally brainwashed.

It is if the goal is mutual understanding. If that isn’t your goal on ILP, then what is it?

When, where and how did that happen?

I support the Israeli working classes but not the government, its handlers, or its military (yes i know soldiers are salary earners). No excuse. If u are an Israeli soldier u gotta drop out and refuse to fight.

Israel is a strategic liability and its behavior toward the Palestinians is morally reprehensible." -John Mearsheimer

Greater Israel never existed as claimed, but Palestine has a rich history.

Golda Meir, who claimed there was never a Palestine, was from Ukraine, a state that has only existed since the 19th century.

The video does a good job for 30 minute presentation, but, of course, raises many questions. The latest archeological research supports this thesis. The historians cited focus on the destruction of the second Jerusalem temple in 70 AD. But, surprising to me, in the video, none address Roman policy following the Bar Kokhba revolt. “Following the failure of the Bar Kokhba revolt, the center of Jewish society shifted from Judea to Galilee.[18] The province of Judaea was renamed Syria Palaestina[19] as an intended punishment for the Jews and as a result of the desires of the region’s non-Jewish inhabitants.[20]The Jews were also subjected to a series of religious edicts by the Romans, including an edict that barred all Jews from entering Jerusalem.[9][21] The Bar Kokhba revolt also had philosophical and religious ramifications; Jewish belief in the Messiah was abstracted and spiritualized, and rabbinical political thought became deeply cautious and conservative. The rebellion was also among the events that helped differentiate Early Christianity from [Judaism]”(Judaism - Wikipedia).[22]

In my judgment the renaming of the cities and towns with Hebrew names in the modern state would be part of the ethnic cleaning efforts.

Gazans are being brutalized by both sides of the conflict.

The plight of the people in Gaza is in danger of being forgotten as the world’s attention shifts to Israel’s attacks on Lebanon.

It seems strange to think that Jews could find refuge in Islamic countries for hundreds of years. Then Zionism came and suddenly they have to eradicate Palestinians.
