I plan on going to college to get a master’s degree in library sciences. ( Plan on being a librarian.) Why?
I like reading and books I far more get along with than people.
I’m going back to school in november. After taking my first year at university i decided to take an english teaching course in november.
it is 1000 and a month long which will qualify be to teach english over seas. I plan to go to china.

Good luck, buddy. Only thing I have to say is that you might want to keep quiet in class when your liberal multiculturalist professors start preaching lovey dovy philosophy. It’s hard at first, but keeping quiet and just getting your A for the course is best.
Sad but true…In order that you may be recognized as a successful ideal citizen one must pay alot of money to colleges which the government later on hordes. On the job training without the need of going to college is a dying art.
( Largely because it isn’t profitable for the government that controls academical institutions.)

Going that far will probably help towards getting an A, which is what your focus should be, but you could just keep quiet with your opinions. Share them with those whom you’ll get something out by sharing…other than a boost for the ego. 
I’ll keep all of that in mind.

No drooling now at the thought of all those tomes/journals/old editions!

This is a great idea in general. I have volunteered at a library before. You should plan on volunteering at a place immediately in addition with getting whatever creds you need to get hired on full-time. Plan a permanent move though, because it takes a long time to get into a librarian job. Get cozy with the staff and make sure to brown-nose extra well. Act like the perfect puppy.
Good plan, but don’t let yourself be brainwashed by the Librarian propaganda.
Just be prepared to teach the Dewey Decimal System to little kids. Well, I guess that’s if you do it at a school.
Still, I would have never expected this.

It’s a nice building but went over schedule and over-budget (tax-payers money, of course)
I’ve had to order extracts from journals etc. in previous jobs, from there, but apart from that the general public have nothing to do with the library… it’s a cool place to be in though / to absorb all that written word.
That’s an amazing building - I’m loving some of the architecture and such currently springing-up at the moment, globally…
