Much-viewed, but a pretty good one, I think.

I hadn’t heard of freerunning. Freerunning has to be the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard of, for a person to do. Dangerous as hell.

Good one, fuse - and just what i was hoping for. I want to see some of the real fringe stuff - stuff that only the young people seem to know about.
A friend of mine is heavy into parkour at UC Berkley, where he’s in the PHd program for computer science. He loves that scene from the Office. It seems that different people focus on different aspects of the sport. Some like the flow of combining parkour moves and techniques with being a runner. Perhaps that is more of the “freerunning” aspect of it. Others like to concentrate on the techniques themselves, like kong vaults, precisions, wall running, climbing, etc. Practicing them to perfection. My friend prefers the technical aspect of it. He’s gotten crazy muscular from all his training. I’ve trained with him at some club sessions where he acts as more of a teacher. I’m fairly athletic myself and picked up some things pretty good for a newbie, but I scraped myself up and nearly did some serious damage to my knee on the first session trying to do a wall run. Parkour is intense. You have to be careful and smart about what you attempt - people often go over possible “bails” (read: exit strategies) before attempting something risky - but you also have to be confident and clear of doubt once you decide to attempt it. I respect anyone who does serious training.
There’s a lot if call for free runners in the entertainment industry… that shit looks great in films - will check out the vids at the Internet cafe tomorrow…
Your just jealous…
“Swinging” was a Oz version of Freerunning and Parkour some years ago but thankfully the police put a stop to it. (It’s a send up, guys)
