I was watching the news & they were worried AI would be used to sway public opinion about various important issues, locally & globally, across all sectors.
Basically… they failed to inoculate the average person against persuasion (for FJ: or being swayed by anything other than good arguments/evidence), and they educated AI how to do it most efficiently, turned it loose, and … no take backs, no tradesies … they wish the average person couldn’t use this tool that basically sidesteps the education (inoculation) of which they were deprived.
