It’s good to have strong borders when you have enemies trying to get in through the cracks.
It’s also good to know who your enemies are, and not make new ones.
It’s also good to help those who need help - even if they are your enemies - and not just because that can turn them into friends.
It’s also good to acknowledge human rights regardless of citizenship or economic benefit. But if we don’t even treat citizens as humans, why would we extend human acknowledgment to noncitizens, much less enemies?
Who will survive the fallout? The least of these, who have been surviving this.

First, you’re probably taken by the Right’s nonsense that enough of these illegals are drug dealers and rapists to justify creating gestapo squads to round em all up.
Scalptor points this out (indirectly) and then, rather than taking a moment to reflect on how that’s not just a trivial thing to be wrong about and change your opinion, you immediately skirt to the side and say something arbitrary… which will likely turn out to be false as well.
This ‘enemy within’, if it isn’t in your head and actually exists, probably isn’t what you think it is. In fact, they’re very likely the good guys, and your people are the bad guys.
You’d list off all the evil people who don’t self=other - atheists, communists, etc. - and then start naming good guys like pseudo-intellectual Craig, Jim and Tammy (my boo), Swaggart, Lindsey Graham, Joel what’s-his-name who didn’t let those people in his megachurch when there was a hurricane or whatever. Guys like Moses who murdered countless people. Guys like Jesus who said things less profound and interesting than the homeless guy sitting in the back of the starbucks.
We’d finally discover that you’re wrong about the mexicans and the american good guys. After another brief exchange with Scalptor about this, you’d pass right by it as if it didn’t happen… as if you weren’t just wrong again… and then quickly head off in some other arbitrary direction.

I’ll add to my last post. The reason why i am so good at criticizing people… well, obliterating, i should say… is because my Capricorn/Tiger signs converge like Voltron and become the Komodo Dragon. Thus:

Yes, but I rather support people trying to better themselves, falsely accused of being drug dealers, than Draft dodging felons.
Immigration has always bought economic benefits and growth.
They tend to do jobs that “legals” do not want to do, such as fruit and veg picking, lawn mowing etc.
Trump, on the other hand has not done an honest day’s work in his life and is using his power to manipulate the stock market with pump and dump sicking out billions from the economy.
