Imagine Nothingness ‘Absense of Everything’ Call it ‘0 Something’ , 0 something = itself (law of identity). Itself is Nothingness ‘Absense of Everything’ so its 0 Everything (note lower case ‘Everything’ becuase nothingness cannot be 0 EVERYTHING, for example: 0 limit (impossible in nothingness), 0 nature (nothingness has a nature). so not even nothingness has 0 EVERYTHING.
back to my point, if 0 something = 0 Everything then the inverse would be Something or rather somethingness= Everything. Is there a law or theorem that proves that 0 somethingness = 0 Everything is the same thing inversely: Somethingness= Everything? by merely taking out the 0 it gets the opposite effect, from nothingness, to Everything - is this a real math/logic/law??!
No. Its not division at all. Its basically identity. It is true that 0 something-ness = 0 everything but it is also true that Somethingness = Everything. A=A There’s only contradiction when you assume that they are opposites to the point that you no longer see them as 2 different definitions.
0 Somethingness and Somethingness are perhaps opposites but more than that they are definitely different definitions (and functions) to work with.
theres nothing knowledge extensive with this point.
What do you mean by “the inverse” of x?
When you notate “0 x”, do you mean “0 times x” or something else?
How would you define something-ness? As the property all things that are “something” share?
What exactly is the difference between everything and EVERYTHING?
What does it mean to say that somethingness=everything?
Thank you and sorry if this is all obvious for you. Just trying to learn.
Just trying to figure out what the terms and notations you use mean. Surely you know yourself? Because if you don’t, anything you write using them doesn’t really mean anything…
I think I get what you’re saying cc, and it makes sense in a sort of crude way (but I think you need to flesh out the details of how you describe your ideas - be a bit more elaborate).
Here’s what I think:
0 something means there are no things… at all… so nothing.
If we drop the 0 from “something”, then there is at least 1 thing that exists… so there must be an Everything.
What jumps out at me, based on this, is that something IMPLIES Everything. I don’t know if you can say something = Everything.
I guess in a way you CAN say this, but it depends on what you mean by “something”. Usually, one uses the word “something” to refer to a particular thing, like a chair or a book, and I certainly don’t think that either one counts as Everything. But there is another sense in which “something” can be construed as meaning “everything” - namely, in that it means somethingness. Somethingness is the quintessential definition of “everything” (at least, to a first approximation).
