Seriously,

ILP is dead when Joker doesn’t post. Where the hell are all the so-called philosophers around here?

Sadly this is the most active and intelligent philosophy forum that I’ve had the pleasure to join yet, but things are depressing and too slow without Joker.

In conclusion, this site is dead without Joker…

VIVA JOKER!!! :evilfun: :sunglasses:

what about little old me?

i suppose i have periods of activeness but then i go to sleep for a day and a half

Well the google ad is getting pretty annoying.

I mean… Do you believe in GOD? Yeah! WE CAN FIX THAT… Pssh

You’re still new, but I give you props.

:evilfun: O:) :evilfun: O:)

I have signed up at the Richard Dawkins website besides being here at ILP.

Look for me under the username DionysianJoker.

Au contraire.

Joker scared away all the real philosophers. They come here, see his posts and say, “Oh, this isn’t really a philosophy forum. It’s a forum for angry hedonists who like to write big words”. And then they leave.

If he didn’t completely dominate the all sections of the forum with the same senseless babble that would be easily disproved if it could only be understood, you’d see some of the old philosophers come back.

Hmm, that’s actually a good explanation.

Though I’m kind of glad… I don’t know how long I would be able to stand ILP if the front page was full of “Hume this!!!” or “Kant that!!!”…

When I first joined ILP: the constant posts on traditional Western philosophers/philosophy kept me away for a year after that, and Joker makes me want to fly to where-ever he lives in America and throttle him for his views - now, a mix of these two styles of postings is more interesting to those with a low boredom threshold who don’t happen to hold classic Western philosophy as a gospel for philosophy itself!

You’re right, I like this mix.

Traditional philosophical discussion, or more contemporary chat: can be had on ILP! there’s something for every-onel…
