Following my previous announcement I’m happy to say ILP is now running the recently released phpBB Olympus. You will of course notice a number of differences which we hope you will enjoy. The board itself has a lot more features and you will also have a lot more control in your own user profiles. Take a few moments to familiarise yourselves with the new features and if you get stuck please let us know in the Help & Suggestions Forum
If there is particular feature you like let us all know about it on here or in Help & Suggestions.

Bring back “recent threads” on the front page. I dont see it there, execpt for ads. And it was the only way I wanted to use this site, by seeing which threads were on top of discussion priorities.
I really don’t like how imbedding the advertised links inside the original posts makes it look like the ILP member authoring that post is endorsing/suggesting those links.
It makes me want to edit a disclaimer into all the threads I’ve ever started. Especially considering the crude nature of many of the links… unless you finally did away with that.
I got subsilver already,still think its a bit crap though,I think they should have done something more interesting like design the site to resemble the face of christ
The only thing I’d like to see changed is the placing of the poster’s avatar, etc. Since we read from left to right, such heading info really should be on the left, like before.
Thanks for your comments on the new site, we’ve tried to take them on board and give everyone a broad choice. Your user profile enables you to choose between a number of board styles, here’s a run down of them:
prosilver - This is the one that ships with phpbb3 and will be most people’s default style. It spans the whole width of the screen and has the user’s profile on the right hand side of posts.
prosilver_leftfixed - This style centres the whole board and fixes the width to the middle of the page. It also has the user profile back on the left hand side of the page.
subSilver2 - For those harking back to the ‘good old days’ this style is based on the old subSilver style which was used on the previous incarnation of ILP.
As more styles are developed and created we hope to make them available to you all. Let us know if you like or dislike the changes.
The search function is messed up. For example, I could not find Bob’s “gnosis” thread. I had to search for all threads in which Bob participated, order them alphabetically, and then find the gnosis thread that way (it was on page 7 of 10).
Has anybody mentioned how terribly ugly the new lay-out is? As for the colours, I’m sure they’re just the defaults - are they going to be changed? I know this is just my opinion, but I also know it’s not just my opinion.
