Knowing & Understanding

What is active is what exists.
What is inactive, though it is nonsensical to imagine it, is the very definition of nonexistence.

This is what happens when nihilism infects our minds:
We take our perceptions and we try to imagine their opposite.
It takes the perceived and then fantasizes its reverse.

A clear indication of self-hatred - the desire to erase the past, or to take it out of consideration.
A clear indication of hatred for nature - nature being the sum of all nurturing - or reality or, as it is also called the world.

This is what progressiveness is:
A distaste, a hatred, of how things are, how they appear, and a desire to dismiss them as irrelevant - appearances do not matter - or as too small to matter - a clear contradiction of empiricism and discriminating consciousness.

The self-hating, world-denouncing mind, projects into the future the coming “better world.”

The chain of Nihilism:
Judaism > Christianity > Islam > Marxism > Secular Humanism

Secular humanism is Christian ethos that only changes the concepts a bit to bring them down to earth.

God is turned into the Ideal Man - the good man, the perfect citizen.
Paradise is turned into a future event, an earthly Utopia.
The Beyond time/space is turned into the beyond the present, the future which is coming.
God’s Will is turned into a collective unconscious, the hive mind.
The life after death is turned into an identification with the abstraction of nation, or humanity.
The end of pain and suffering is turned into a day when uniformity will make all human divisions a remnant of the past.

Essentially what is being described is an imagined state where chaos has produced uniform possibilities. The infinity of space/time.
There are no divisions, no separation, because all is uniformly possible and non-distinct. All is unconscious: the end of need/suffering.

This is the memetic dis-ease of modern western man.
In the east they have their own variants. We might say that modern Buddhism is this corrective uniformity, dealing with Hinduism.

The connection between Hinduism, Hellenism is explored by Mecivilley in his book The Shape of Ancient Thought.

The reason?
Decreasing spaces, an absence of frontiers, cultural fatigue, psychological illness.

Symptoms?

-Perspectivism as an excuse.
Imagination released from reality - the rise of fantasy, the fantastic.

-Absolutism.
The reversal of aesthetic perceptions. Thingness a substitute for the absent God.

-Compartmentalized thinking, also called schizophrenia.
Different standards in different contexts. Schism of judgment. Voice over our shoulder, self-consciousness as an otherness directing our Will.

-Belief in the unseen, the thing-in-itself.
Denial of empiricism when and if it suits the mind. What we see is unreal, what we do not see is more real.
All is the reverse of what we perceive. Man cannot be defined, he is nothing like other species. The individual is beyond comprehension.
Man is mysterious, a holy mystery - Man as the god we thought was dead.

-The ideals of parity - uniformity of probabilities, uniformity of potentials.
Contradiction of Evolution Theory, again when and where it suits us. Tabula Rasa, all are born with the same potentials. Natural selection degraded to a farce, a fascist ploy.
Species just happen. Diversity is fake. Uniformity reigns. Our senses evolved to test our goodness.

-Narcissism - the cynical, jaded, spoiled, impressionable brat, full of sheltered bravado and a sense of entitlement.
Endless dark humor, sarcasm, redirection towards the mundane. Females and the effete laughing at masculine drives to establish order.
Surrender to entropy. Change of change’s sake.
Rise of the Marxist, anarchist. Destroy it all, so that I might hope to get a better deal.
Let’s reboot reality.

-Hypocrisy - verbal acrobatics rhetoric not as the art of convincing, but as the art of evading the real - language not to clarify but to hide, not to simplify and bring into the light, but to bury in darkness and in artificial complexity.
Denial of the human experience. Need/suffering is the exception - it can be corrected.
No pain, all gain.
The win-win scenario of the adolescent psychology. Choices have no costs - protection from our own stupidity.
Eternal adolescence - not yet man, not really woman - the hermaphrodite ideal - homosexuality fits right in.
Sex as a hedonistic plaything. No severity, no cost, no risk. Endless play. Eternal infantile joy.
Not happiness despite the real, but by remaining simple enough to not see - blindness a virtue - simplicity is cool.
The worship of the idiot savant.
Necessity not the mother of invention, but a primal sensation which should be ignored as false.

-Mental numbness.
Reality must scream at the mind for it to become aware.
The world is notched up in intensity - the hyper-real takes over.
All is exaggerated, including emotions - including certainty.
Hyper-masculinity, to compensate for masculinity declining.
The world as something to be denounced, escaped, avoided, corrected, denied.
Being drunk/high, out of your mind, is sexy - “I luv you man” repeated over and over again in pop-culture.

-Self-Hatred.
All is immediate - immediate gratification, immediate solutions, immediate evidence.
The shrinking of consciousness - dumbing-down.
Hatred of nature, as that which determines us, as we are. Corrective surgery, corrective attitudes, corrective denials - community of liars.
Self-hatred expressing a desire to destroy one’s own family, one’s own heritage, one’s own tribe, one’s own bloodline.

Shall I go on?
