The urge, opportunity, and need to have sex with prepubescent childrens would seem to emerge simultaneously as the expression of a social dynamic that was useful to the group. Either it was an innocuous activity in which men pleasured and relieved themselves causing no more trauma than the physical pain involved in intercourse, or it was an attempt to reproduce family members as fast as possible to help with the work load, etc.
Because neither of these conditions exist today (except for the most backward third world countries), pedophilia as a justifiable phenomena loses its basisā¦ at least in the second sense, as a naive attempt to reproduce quickly.
Then, because of the highly complex structure of our society, the brute act of soliciting sex from a prepubescent child just seems abnormal if only because of the vast availability of mature sexual mates and other options for sexual gratification.
