Very often people regret what they willed. We are human, we are flawed. Usually, there is no turning back when we are given what we believed we wanted at the time. We do not take the time to evaluate it, to think this thing through which we willed. We do not look both ways when crossing this street…what is there on both sides. We cannot look into the future to see how our decision, what we willed, shall unfold in the present time. It may take some time for the regrets to sink in but they do.

Beyond our madness, all is neutral.

You know what’s even more crucial than avoiding predators?
The basic sustenance for your existence.
Doesn’t matter how good your are at avoiding external danger, if you don’t have the resources to maintain the structure that produces life.
You can avoid predators by sheer luck, as long as you’re sustaining your system.
Doesn’t go the other way though.
Emotions are coercion. The first would be akin to contentment and discontentment. [i.e. being coerced, and the easing of that coercion.]
Fear is far more complex and would require deeper recognition. Would not come first.
