I think a big piece of the disagreement here is mixing up 2 very different claims:
(1) Descriptive claims about physics (charges, fields, forces).
(2) Normative claims about morality (good/bad, God, meaning).
Science (as a method) can do a great job with (1), but it doesn’t automatically settle (2). Whether moral absolutes exist is a meta-ethical question (moral realism vs anti-realism), not something you can prove or disprove by measuring electric charges.
On the physics side: attractive/repulsive forces are absolutely part of Maxwell’s equations and are observed constantly. When people say things “cancel out” they usually mean net charge or net field in some configuration can be ~0, not that the forces “don’t exist”.
“Electromagnetism” isn’t a made-up patch; it’s the unified description of electricity + magnetism (and it makes extremely precise predictions).
If you want to argue for moral absolutes (or for God), I’d suggest keeping that argument on the philosophical side: what is the ontological status of value? what makes a moral claim true? how do we know? Those questions don’t require denying modern physics.
What specific claim from “mainstream science” are you targeting here: moral anti-realism, physicalism, or something like “everything is illusion” (which is not a standard scientific thesis)?
