Masters in Philosophy

I’m questioning how far to go with my degree. Is there a point to getting a masters degree in Philosophy? I want to go for at least my Bachelors…

I just want some oppinions

Aside from ego satisfaction…No.

Get Bachelors in something that will help you land a good a job.

thanks for your input i’ll have to ponder that now :stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t underestimate the importance of ego satisfaction. And while getting a masters may not land you a great job, a PhD can get you into teaching at a reasonable level, and you could get a research job in ethics, which could be quite fulfilling.

Actually, philosophy graduates do quite well.

I was pretty shocked too. I always sorta figured philo graduates would ask questions like, “want fries with that?” but the numbers don’t lie. I wouldn’t be surprised if the averages there are bumped up by a few very wealthy philosophers and a lot of fry-jockies but hey, whatever is going on it seems to work!

Do you know of what that equals in USD currency by anychance?

1 GB pound = ~2 US dollars

38,652

thanks

I think philosophy attracts and creates leaders.
