About immigration: I believe we should strive to help people in need, but only insofar as it is practicable.
Illegal immigrants enter a country without permission. In 99.9999% of cases they will have crossed muliple safe nations to get to the UK.
Illegal immigrants make legal ones look bad.
Illegal immigrants and a large proportion of legal ones, will deliberately never be British in any meaningful sense.
However:

Illegal immigrants cannot enter a country out of their own volition.

They rely on tightly run militaristic international crime syndicates.

The illegal immigrants are drawn from a small percentage of any given society, that would be crazy enough and materialist enough, to illegally migrate for economic reasons. There will always be a few tens of thousands of suckers in any nation.

Crime syndicates are pivotal in this and so it’s not a stretch to imagine Far Right politicians and venture capitalist boshing up a plan whereby the migrants are funnelled into the UK in droves, with a few deliberately hired to be the sex criminal fresh off the boat that has sex with an underaged girl and they are both caught on CCTV and the police supposedly cannot act for fear of … yawn … political incorrectness.

As such, each migrant is worth their physical weight in … well, not gold, but definitely silver. To the far right, these migrants are a lifeline. You need the mind of a venture capitalist for this to make sense and Lo! The far right is rife with venture capitalists and flush with Old Money.

I’m certainly no Uncle Tom: The global system of commerce is very unfair toward the developing world. It is small wonder that the third world is that desperate. India in the 1800s constituted the lion’s share of the world’s GDP, did you know that?
If you hate immigration then you should also hate the exploitation of the world. Thus you should be prepared to pay triple, quadruple, and more, for everyday things, so that workers in the Outer World get paid fair wages, and a fair price for their goods.
