I am hoping to find an answer.
I am using Mozilla Thunderbird, and switched from Earthlink. Now, I am starting to receive error messages that smtpauth does not recognize my outgoing emails.
Yes, I have gone to both sites, and am batting zero.
My smtpauth is set to 587, it worked before, but now is not.
Help, I can’t send emails.

What is ‘smtpauth’ ?
Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) is a mail transfer system.
Usually requires an account from an Internet service provider.
Every supplier has their own SMTP setup.
Check if your mail account is setup properly.
What port are you using for your outgoing mail?
Im not certain what you are saying your problem is, but things to try could be:
making sure your smtp port is set to 25 (unless specifically instructed otherwise by your email comp.).
unticking the box in ‘account settings’ under ‘tools’ which says you do want to use authentication (usually ‘use secure authentication’).
checking you have the correct smtp mail server such as smtp.youremailcorp.com

I use Firefox, rather than Thunderbird, so I’m not sure that I can offer any help beyond what obw has suggested…
