The story goes that Muhammad received revelations supposedly from God through angel Gabriel.
However upon receiving such revelations, Muhammad was filled with terror and fears as reported in the following hadith.
The extraordinary thing is how can anyone be filled with fears and terrors if one has any mental connections and experience with God or his angels.
In this case, Muhammad had to be pacified by his wife (where is his balls?] and another Christian.
In another perspective, if there is a God who is omnipotent and omnibenevolent, then there is no reason for God to frighten his intended messenger.
What is most critical is, this is the pivotal moment [of fears and terrors] and starting point of the popular religion of Islam.
The above leaves room for doubt that Muhammad’s supposedly God related experience was most likely to be a mental problem of some sort. In the link above, a Muslim is defending Muhammad against the charge that Muhammad suffered from depression and was suicidal.
There are many hypothesis, possibilities and evidence to support Muhammad’s experiences were a result of some sort of psychosis, e.g. temporal epilepsy or some kind of brain lesions/defects etc. IMO, the resultant of evils from some believers justify the mental problem cause is the most likely.
It is this first premises that enable all the evils, terrors and violence to ensue as committed by SOME fundamentalist Muslims.

The effects of this negative psychology is reflected in the life of Muhammad and imprinted as evil laden verses in the holy texts, i.e. Quran, Hadiths, and Sira.
SOME (not all) evil prone fundamentalists are catalyzed by these evil laden verses to commit terrible evils upon humanity.

In 2009, 15,241 people were murdered in USA
In 2009, 16,834 people were murdered in South Africa
In 2009, 40,752 people were murdered in India
That is over 80,000 murders in 4 countries in 1 year.
The main point of the evidence I provided is to support the conclusion I drawn in the OP from the initial premise re the quoted texts.
Aside the OP, my evidence suggests that as responsible citizens of humanity we need to deal with all these evils and fatalities accordingly and effectively by studying their various and root causes.
What is significant and critical with my alarming evidence is, a religion is supposed to promote good so it is very essential to find out why there are religious-based evils.
Note the statistics is representing ‘Islamists Terrorists has carried out more than 24675 deadly terror attacks since 911’.
The other point is if your evidence above are related to religion, then we can analyze the root causes and deal with them in this ‘Religion and Spirituality’ section.
If they are due to non-religious reason, e.g. race, social, culture, etc. then we should deal with them in the ‘General’ or in specialized ‘Ethics’ or ‘Political’ forums.
There are tons of evidences where jihadists (e.g. Bin laden, ISIS and others) quoted verses from the Quran, referred to the Hadiths and Sira when committing evils upon non-believers.
You are missing the point that your quote is meaningless and does not support your claim in any way whatsoever. All you are showing is that people kill people and some of these people (not all but instead a minority) have certain religious beliefs. So why do people intentionally kill people? I assume you are taking about intentional acts of violence. Car accidents are unintentional deaths… not intentional acts of violence directed at another human.
Any philosophical attempt becomes meaningless from that very moment when a person tries to find an evidence to support his mindset instead of forming a minset according to the evidence.
And, when that happens, the whole of discussion becomes nothing more than to defend one’s ego, thus useless.
Like any other thing, investigation is also an ontology and entirely depends on the purpose defined by the investigator. And, one has to choose whether his ultimate purpose is acquiring knowlegde/truth or merely to defend his ego.
Objectivity does not mean whether one has perfect/true perception or not, it only entails whether one can stand apart from his perception and able to see it as a third person or not.

The killer said that openly in a court of law.
The trigger point is because the victim is perceived to have insulted the killer’s religion.
And the Quran permit a believer to kill non-believers if they insult Islam or the prophet.
This is a valid and sound inference.
The control is, a Buddhist who feel insulted do not have any verses in his Buddha sutras or religion to compel him to kill.
This contrast and control infer that Islam is a direct cause in compelling believers to kill non-believers as in the Bouyeri’s case I linked.
