Point of a van, if your using it for pleasure, not to live in it, is to turn it into a RV. Women are into the idea too.
You can put in one or two bikes, or kayaks, or a air mattress, or sleeping cot, etc.
You claim to be rich, so just get the battery short issue fixed. Go on EBay, buy some solar cells (get the wure and soldering glue too, ask what size diode you need for the Watts and volts online), head to a large hardware store, get a clear plexiglass window for the top and bottom, have it bolted down (waterproof) to the room, with wires running down to 3-4 marine deep cell batteries. If your battery in your van goes dead, you can boot it from these. You can get these wired up to a inverter for appliances like a fridge (portable, indoor ones don’t work well in a vehicle, they gotta be completely flat to work) or toaster. Wash with a washcloth if out for a few days, heat up some water, just add shampoo to the water first, use all over, no need to rinse. 4/5 gallon water, like for office water dispensers, with a cheap pump works wonders. Bucket with a $20 toilet seat, lined with fresh garbage bags for shitting if you drive into the deep wilderness.
Your van has a big roof, you should have a easy time stealth hiding solar panels. Only people from above will see them. It is free electrity once you do it. Who cares if the van is shit, so long as it runs. You can also install roof vents. Cheap fake floor tiles slapped on a sheet of plywood acting as your floor… go as cheap or as expensive as you want. Van always trumps any other vehicle for outdoor fun, as it is essentially a mobile launch pad and shelter. You can get custom propane kitchen sets for the Backdoor… if shit hits the fan, your not really homeless as long as you have this. Imagine someone losing their job and home while still owning a set up equal or better than described above. Situation sucks, but can be so much worst. I assure you, so very much worst. Women do like the idea generally too.
You just need to stick to a van, and keep upgrading it, till it turns awesome. If you live in a house, you don’t need to make it stealth. You can upgrade the outside will it looks awesome.
