My Life...as a Philosopher

Of course this medium is at once magnificent and yet strangely limited.

I’m not sure if some individuals are unable to see me or if I need to attempt to express my philosophical fruits in yet even other ways…

Within this forum, and in my life, I have developed & discovered some really amazing things. At least I feel these things are amazing.

  • Accidentally, through a quite strange epiphany, I discovered and I am still developing a new form of union organizing. The third form of organizing. At this point I call it, The Way.

  • I have defined and accepted my own personal religion; Organized Labor.

  • Thirdly, I am in the process of discovering & developing an exciting NEW conceptual evolutionary philosophy. One that encompasses a holistic view of our individual lives and an eye to where mankind is, in general, in relation to our consciousness. The process of discovery is not without risk and I may, at any day, loose my life to one of the philosophical exercises. Like a moth to a flame I cannot stop this most important aspect of my entire life now.

…so, I guess you could say there is nothing that is more important to my life than philosophy.

…and through philosophy I have experienced the most important & memorable aspects in my entire life.

For me philosophy is real.
Philosophy is most important. Philosophy deserves the best I can adhere to in each of my moments.

I try to be as open and as honest that I can be.

I appreciate and respect the membership.

I deeply appreciate this forum in it being a most important vehicle that has allowed me to focus, think, and articulate.

I thank everyone who has been a part of this experience in me, even if you have only viewed my posts.

In the end, I would define my life, as a philosopher.

…and I feel I have single-handedly pushed a barrier of sorts. I have introduced the importance of non-linear imaging into the formally quite denotative reflection of dead philosophers shattered writings.

Philosophy is only REAL philosophy when you live it. When you literally breathe it…

Bill, I must thank you for your post. It reinforces in me the notion that seeing is really the most accurate form of believing. Belief’s are usually not admittedly first, they are construed to come after perceiving them. But I take issue. I really believe, that belief is a condition to seeing. At least seeing in the right light. Plato expressed the above: climbing out of the cave, he sought to see the light of reason. How we forget this, and have to be reminded of that early notion. Your putting the pictures after the fact, is analogous to putting the labor after the union.

The union preceeds the labor which is needed to acquire that very union. Unionization seems such a new and different way of understanding it, but the labor needed to rediscover real union, is just a negative of the need to unionize the labor.

And , don’t laugh, the labor needed to acquire union, generally, is the same union used in a specific sense that is needed to bring labor together. It’s really more than a picture, it’s an inverse concept.

That’s why they speak of a picture worth a thousand words, it inverts the specificity of the complex representation, and makes it understandable.

I’m going to make a guess here, about you. I’m guessing you have experienced elivation. This is the seed of all kinds of positive philosophical fruits. Without elivation or a high, or inspiration, the human being is just much less good. I think positive inspirational elivation is necessary for lofty higher thinking and ideals.

You are welcome
