My Photography

The compositions are unusual: which makes them more interesting, and the shots are nicely framed - you have aspirations in this field?

The bottles and leather is great due to the contrast of the materials…

Any good photographers can sell their pics to picture libraries for a high price: Getty Images, Corbis, Istock etc. or you can exhibit/sell them in galleries: there are loads of peeps who want an individual piece to hang in their loft apartment ;o)

I’ve seen worse pics from pro photographers, so your stuff aint bad at all…

…if you do a degree/diploma in art or design: you’ll have modules which cover all these areas, and more besides (life drawing, still life, photography, business, fine art, journalism, writing, 3D design, pottery). You also go on gallery, museum, and exhibition visits: where you get to meet really cool peeps in the media industry - studying art is a real eye-opener: as you get to observe a lot

What are your other options?

Choices choices choices.

I loved doing pure and applied math, but our tutor had a nervous breakdown in the first term, and she walked out on us one day :frowning: that was the end of my affair with calculus and ???.. hahaha!

So what are you studying now that determines your major?

I think ShinyShiny and Wooden Double Helix are nice.

Interesting how you have simple/pure pictures and also “messier” pictures (the scaffolds). My taste leans towards the messier (more complex) pictures. Maybe it’s because the simpler more formal pictures are what often get used in advertising. They’re all well done - nice job.

I like the photography. Some of my favourites haven’t been given titles. However, you seem to have an ability to home in on detail like pipes (brown ones against a brown wall - on page 2 of flickr or the blue ones on page 1) or the lamp or a set of dials and to spot patterns which you then frame and isolate from the surrounding clutter. Gives them an abstract quality which I like.

Well done.

These are my favourites:

Found this on another site.

Capture the moment, indeed!

Beautiful, so many stories in one pic.

A surprise visitor to my neighbors property…

Capturing an autumn scene in Germany early in the morning.
