Since when is this forum, “Natural Sciencies”, a place for irrational thought and pseudo-sciences ?
Please if you got nothing related to mainstream science; or anything of the sort, DON’T POST HERE!
I’m sick of “creationism” or “intelligent design” or “why aren’t dinosaurs included in the bible” or “Evolution doesn’t make sense” or “Does Every Living Thing Have a Soul?”
Please take all those type of topics to the main place for irrational thought on this forum → “Religion”
Also don’t go around trying to refute SCIENCE FACT without having a proper education on the matter. Moreover such “refutations” should not be directed here (on the PHILOSOPHY forums); please publish your ideeas in a science journal.
When your ideea gets accepted into mainstream science come back and feel free to post here.
This is not the place to debate if science is or is not right on anything, this is merely a place to discuss how science influences philosophy and our lives. THATS IT; nothing more.
On this forum we should simply link to mainstream science journals and ponder upon how those discoveries change our beliefs.
P.S. This is not a debatably issue; i will not start a debate on this matter so don’t bother posting here trying to convince me otherwise, especially SIATD.
I realise its not my place to give ultimatums of any kind, so i appeal to the sound judgement of the moderators here to take a stand.
Again… i’m not the one saying that scientists are wrong so i don’t need one.
All i need trust in the fact that scientists CAN’T lie; and now you’re probably wondering “WHY?” am i right ? well simply because if some did, their claims would be ridiculed by the other scientists. And to think that they’re all lying is childish to begin with.
That’s the index description of the natural sciences forum. I think it clearly states what this forum should and shouldn’t include. Your criticisms are ridiculous, and, of course, you’re free not to read any post that offends your ideas of what this forum should include.
Ever heard of philosophy of science? or epistemology?
I don’t think a science journal would be the best place to disagree with the conceptual and social aspects of scientific methods.
Oh, ok, well whatever you say. It seems to me though that this is an ideal place to discuss science, because it isn’t just scientists here.
The mods have made their position clear by the way that they’ve moderated the forum.
Who wants a board that glorifies mainstream science. “wow, science is so great, it does so much for me.” Boring and sycophantic is something I try to stay away from.
But since it’s not a debate topic, you don’t have to write back, I just want the mods to know that I disagree with you, and that the NS forum is a very good place to read the debates.
