Presumably, a disbelief in free-will implies that “control over ourselves and external nature” must be determined by nature, i.e., Deus. Under Putin, something is happening in Russia that has never happened there before: Putin is the first leader in Russia to break away from the previously all-accessible imitation of the West, and - again - with the help of the West. The West has weakened itself through its war in Ukraine. It has been weakening itself in this way ever since the US war in Vietnam.

How does Putin justify his approach?

1. Putin justifies his approach by blaming the West because, according to Putin, the West hates Russia. This justification is typical of today’s world, in which everyone allegedly hates everyone else (which of course is not true), but Putin can cite it for perfectly legitimate reasons.

2. Putin justifies his approach by assuming, indeed having to assume “Eurasianism”, because the link to the West has been lost due to Western arrogance towards Putin (see 1). He has to call his concept “Eurasianism”, because not only Europeans but also Asians live in his empire. He cannot base it on Christians alone, because Muslims and Buddhists and natural religious peoples (so-called pagans) also live in his empire. In addition, Christians are demographically declining. He can also only achieve economic advantages for his country, if he holds his empire together. If his empire were to collapse, the economic successes would also be lost. Russia is dependent on the export of oil and natural gas. That was also the reason why the West, under the leadership of the United States, wanted to weaken Russia, so that it would collapse, at least economically.

3. Putin justifies his approach by calling “Eurasianism” “Russian culture”, because he has to take into account the demographic situation in Russia: as I said, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists and natural religious peoples are living there (=> 2), apart from the many atheists - whereby the Christians and atheists are drastically decreasing rapidly. To speak of a “Russian culture” is daring because it does not correspond to the facts, and testifies to good rhetoric on the part of Putin. Putin has to speak like this because he is under pressure and there is only one option left for him. Maybe he will succeed. If so, then the “ninth culture” announced by Oswald Spengler in his magnum opus would still become a reality.

To tolerate all cultures is possible only if one does not have a culture. Perhaps the deepest or most influential root of modern Western multiculturalism is the Norman destruction of Anglo-Saxon Kultur. Norman civilization did play some role in replacing Anglo-Saxon Kultur with a more rationalistic mode of discourse. Western political equality’s slide towards cultural equality would thus have its most influential origin in the destruction of a distinct, native, Anglo-Saxon Kultur. The bourgeois Anglo-Saxon can believe that other cultures are equal to his own because his own Kultur is degenerate or dead.
The mustard plants of multiculturalism have been fertilized by the decayed remains of individualistic universalism. Whereas the universalism of Christianity helped cultivate the idea of a single human race, multiculturalism is the admission of the failure of the practical realization of the ideal of a truly universal human civilization. Multiculturalism creeps back into a seemingly pagan tolerance, but is it pagan? Greco-Roman paganism tolerance was tolerance of diverse standards for diverse humans and this meant, in the view of men such as Aristotle, that some are born to be slaves while others are born to be masters. Tolerance for caste and other forms of inequality would be the ultimate logic of a pagan multiculturalism, and this point only clarifies the influence of Christianity in promoting the idea of a single, universal human morality in the West.

Americanism’s culture-of-no-culture is the perfect model for Globalism.

As we observed during the Corona panic of 2020-2021 governments around the world, upon drop of a hat, can cooperate and spread message of global unity and cooperation. Yet we still have military, we still have war and as a planet we continue to systematically prepare for conflict. It’s nonsense. All a show. Tribal instincts are being manipulated and exploited to the advantage of a few. People are being played for fools. Should be obvious now.

I have to very much agree with that and the OP.

I would add that the obvious global authoritarian regime is not totally stable. Using puppets like O’Biden to instigate wars and destroy the US is indication that the task of total authority isn’t quite complete. That is obviously why Mr Trump has been so hated - he disrupted their schedule - tore the curtain - established peace - which O’Biden is currently trying to get back on track - successfully so far.

The issue hasn’t been whether nations exist and compete but rather who gets to manipulate the endless competition - and more importantly - what are the actual rules?

The current U.N. globalist agenda (and their many authoritarian participants) seems to accept that there are no rules other than to maintain their supremacy. Unfortunately - being simple minded individuals - killing off a major portion of the population and other atrocious things are the only thing they can think to do in order to maintain their dominance.

To them - people are just a disposable - but temporarily necessary - tool - paper towels.

Last year I was predicting that O’Biden would initiate a new war for the USA somewhere around spring or summer this year. He seems to be on track. The goal being to destroy the USA and Israel - and all thoughts of actual democracy anywhere and everywhere throughout the world. Mr Trump and the US Constitution seem to be a persistent problem for them. Our other nations have already fallen - but none totally assimilated into the Borg.
