Jared Kushner landed $2 billion from Saudi Arabia six months after his father-in-law, Donald Trump, left the White House. The sum was sent to Kushner’s private equity firm after Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman overruled advisers for his nation’s sovereign wealth fund, who thought Kushner and his firm were too sketchy to warrant such a large investment, The New York Times reported on Sunday.

the depth of the depravity of those whose duty has been to care for this country isn’t even known to the vast majority of people. they’re all too caught up in culture war distractions and pseudo high minded notions of which political philosophy ought prevail. most people have almost no information about actual current events. they just aren’t looking, or they just can’t look, so they retreat into abstraction and scratch their beards about capitalism or communism or they focus on things simple enough for them to cope with like who pisses in what bathroom.

what is really happening… the “culture wars” of the last 40 years
is just another attempt to get people to focus on anything else, but what

a question that i like to ask people who are blinded by identity politics/culture war stuff is something like…
if black trans women had the highest average net worth of any group, would their rights be in danger? if gun owners were the richest people would they have to worry about their guns being taken away?
it’s just about the money. that’s what so many people don’t get. some people spend their lives trying to advocate for one system or another, or trying to push legislation that would force people to respect each other etc.
it’s the money. if there isn’t an equitable distribution of value among people, to the extent that at least the minimum standard of living is bearable, then there won’t be any peace. if we say there won’t be peace until everyone respects everyone and stops being assholes to each other, then there won’t be peace.
