NOSTRADAMUS: OF NUTMEG AND PROPHECY

NOSTRADAMUS: OF NUTMEG AND PROPHECY
- a brief look at the greatest prognosticator, ever - Written by Sagesound

Nostradamus, his Latin naming, was born Michel de Notredame in St. Remy, in Southern France, on December 14, 1503. The French astrologer and physician of Jewish decent cured many afflicted patients of the plague. Before dying on July 2, 1566, his masterpiece, titled "Centuries", made its debut in 1555 holding over 1000 quatrains spanning over 12 centuries of prophetic rhetoric. A quatrain is a poetic four-line verse of writing, and in "Centuries", they were written as rhyming prophetic anagrams in French, Greek, Italian, and Latin. This was done intentionally to make his prophecies broad for interpretation and mainly not to be burned by the Catholic Church during the Inquisitions when the family converted to Catholicism. To make his work more confusing, the quatrains are placed out of chronological order like a puzzle that can never be put together.

Being a master astrologer and devoted Catholic, Nostradamus made sure the church wouldn't burn him by claiming the prophecies were revealed to him by a divine spirit, since all astrological signs and bodies have strong ties with the church. He did use astrology to make his prophecies, but he also used meditation and drugs. By staring at a fire or pool of water long enough while being induced with mild hallucinogens like nutmeg, he would see the future.

Though there are many stories that show how the prophet manipulated the European world, one in particular is very noteworthy. Nostradamus came across several monks while traveling in Italy. He immediately kneeled before one of the monks and addressed him as "His Holiness". At the time it was mere nonsense, but the monk became a Cardinal, and many years after the prognosticator's death, the Cardinal became Pope Sixtus V. Is this prophetic fate, or the impending suggestion of a manipulator?

Although the prophecy of the antichrist can be read in the Bible, it was Nostradamus that first showed the world who the antichrist could be. However, in "Centuries", it turned out that there are three separate antichrists that are pointed out. The first is Napoleon, who is noted in the book by his exile on Elba. The second is Hitler, who is named as Hister, but still being regarded as the leader of the German people. The third antichrist has yet to show himself, however, there is a naming of Mabus, and a brief description that he will be a "Master of Mohammed" who will enter Europe in a blue turbin.

There are many more specific prophecies in "Centuries" that specify the explosion of the Challenger shuttle, the Kennedy assassination, the fall of the Soviet Union, the rise of Hitler, Musolini, and Mao Zedong. As well as the first walk on the moon, microchips, the atom bomb, and the travel of man through the stars for the purpose of inter-galactic colonization.

I wrote this “speech” shortly after 9/11/01.

NUTMEG ANYONE??

Specific prophecies that specify things? OK. Let’s hear 'em.

I don’t have them with me now…I wrote the thing 3 years ago…However, I will point you in the direction to find them for yourself, if you’re interested.

I always found it interesting that the only International Force wearing blue “turbins” is the United Nations.

the ultimative article on nostradamus, imo
(might be worth checking out the entire library, they have some other cool ones)

I’d find it a bit more convincing if someone could read me Nostrodamus and use it to predict something specific that hasn’t actually happened yet instead of using it to explain things that already have.

Next weeks Powerball # would be nice. Does he mention whether or not the Pats will cover the spread?

he predicted the pope’s death
