Olmec

so many blocks of stone! how did they do it? I do enjoy watching them try to drag the stones as it was believed they did. trying to use only primitive tools minus the chain saw, crane, and backhoe. it just never seems to work out. it could come close but having used modern tools they have been disqualified.
I would like to talk about the Olmecs in La Venta mexico. this tribe of peoples predates the mayans. it has been said that the mayans were influenced by the olmecs and adopted their mathematical skills from them.
mystery about how they quarried rock far from the job site. why? is that how you would do it? there has to be a different way less complicated. surrounding the olmec tribe were groves of rubber trees. evidence shows that they knew how to utilize the trees and their bouncy properties. hmmmm
research on the site has turned up a man made giant rubber ball. hmmm
use the rubbler for sails? waterproofing? toys? boats? I am sure you will think another use for rubber. we certainly do use the substance today.
my point: wrap a stone in rubber thick enough to work with the weight of the stone. they would carve out pockets on the rocks, my theory they were carved to control the giant bouncy ball. perhaps even a type of rubber road for the stones. regardless this rubber surrounded them, they knew how to use it, and it was available in abundance. knowing the properties of rubber as did they there is no doubt in my mind that it was utilized to move the stones effectively without aliens.

I don’t know that much about the Olmecs. How did you find out they knew the properties of rubber trees? I’m sure with a little reasearch I could find those answers myself, but I am interested about how this subject became of interest to you.

Isn’t it curious too how the Egyptians worked with stone to construct gigantic structures as well as the Central American tribes a half a world away. Is there some connection to this phenomenon, or an innate ability for a culture with thoughts of transcending this life to create large structures such as these. Even to the point of [place your conspiracy theory here] type of intervention?

ancient civilizations are my favorite subject. puzzles are my favorite games. to understand the past is to understand ones self. isnt funny that we know more about the stars than we do ourselves?
