My own definition of ‘Will’ is given in that thread and elsewhere…as is my definition of ‘freedom’ and ‘power’ as its qualifier.
Will Power does not mean will is omnipotent, just as free-will does not mean will is uninfected by the past - nature - or the present - circumstances.
Will is not independent form causality, but is a participant.
Where I part ways with Schopenhauer is in this use of ‘will’ as a replacement for ‘god’…opting for ‘energy’ as a more honest term.
‘Will’ only applies to life, as does intentionality…and ‘free,’ like ‘power’ qualifies this Willful focus on objects/objectives.
Will - intentionality - is what distinguishes the living form the non-living, and so cannot apply to inanimate existential unities, like a stone, that can only exit in the mind as a representation of a congruency of patterns - let’s not get into chaotic energies.
When i say this person is strong willed, or has a powerful will, I do not mean he is omnipotent.
Therefore, when i say this person is free-willed, I do not imply he is god, or some being outside space/time.
The term ‘strong,’ ‘powerful,’ ‘free’ applies to the specific will…not to a universal.
I am more ‘free’ relative to another.
And like ‘strength’ freedom implies power - here Nietzsche was correct.

Negating those three concepts begins the process of ‘healing’, returning the world to tis ‘original state of perfection’ - singular uniformity.
For those who find existence, the truth, as it is unendurable, unsatisfying, a lie is preferable, no matter how absurd.
A shared lie creates the illusion of truthfulness - an intersubjectively supported alternate reality becomes more realistic, more convincing.
But…how long can it endure if the participants gradually lose contact with reality, and begin living in accordance with their lies?
They can’t, and so nihilistic dogmas like Abrahamism and Marxism and postmodernism, must self-decive and self-contradict - mind/body dissonance is the consequence.
Clever ways of dismissing, or explaining away why they cannot abide by their own principles, must be constructed.
‘abrahamism’ has also emerged out of the natural selection and it does not help anybody against the indifferent reality, unless it does, meaning the reality is not indifferent to it.

The root on nihilism is found in its intentional - based on willful deceptions - or unintentional - based on impotence, stupidity, innate feebleness - confusion between existence, and its own perceptions, interpretations, representations, of existence.
The absent, near-absolute is indicated in the Asiatic representation of Yin/Yang, which in Abrahamism becomes good vs Evil.
A secret longing for completion - death wish - accompanies the Will to Life, Will to Power, impulse, striving towards completion, wholeness, oneness, immortality, singularity.
Growing increasingly frustrated and becoming increasingly unsure, skeptical, an advanced, more honest nihilist finds more completion in the negation of completion, viz., the absence of an absolute becomes evidence of the presence of an absolute absence - sop, now, the disappointment with the absolute one’s ability to prove itself, becomes an absolute negation, denial, of all attempts, i.e., cynicism.
What is the easiest reaction to the naive declaration that the one exists, other than an absolute negation of existence itself?

We can say that man is divided by an echo of a past near-absolute event that never finalized - making existence possible; an echo that provokes him to take sides, viz., will it be on the side of absolute completion, oneness, positivity, uniform, singularity - enduing existence - or will it be on the side of absolute chaos, denial of all order, rejection of all unifications, refusal to be included in anything approaching an externally imposed order - right/left politics.
Anything inclusive is misconstrued for left leaning, positivity; anything that even hints at exclusivity, denial of access, automatically means right leaning, negativity.
