I know, Moreno. While we’re at it, do you want to hijack this thread and turn this into a logic discussion? I doubt it will last long and Maia will get her thread back in probably two or three posts.
I was thinking: it is self-referential, but not paradoxical. The answer would be ‘yes’ if I followed it up in the next post with: Well, let me tell you–it is rhetorical! The answer would be ‘no’ if you followed it up in the next post with: No, gib, it’s an honest to John question directed at Maia that you would like her to answer. But there’s nothing paradoxical about any of that.
Now what if I answered ‘no’? Well, it would be wrong but not paradoxical. The question would be rhetorical since I followed it up with my own answer, but that’s no paradox.
And what if you answered ‘yes’? Then you’d be wrong. It wouldn’t be a rhetorical question since I was honestly waiting for an answer, and you delivered it–you delivered the wrong answer, but that’s no paradox.
Anyway, I’m sure Maia will find a way to carry on this discussion around us.
Didn’t we try this before? wasn’t it called the dark ages? Where religion and the church had power over everything? Wise men should be ruling, but instead people choose the most charismatic instead of the most knowledgeable.
“In politics we presume that everyone who knows how to get votes knows how to administer a city or a state. When we are ill… we do not ask for the handsomest physician, or the most eloquent one.” ― Plato
“The measure of a man is what he does with power.” ― Plato
Take a look around, what has been done with “power” ? Certainly not equal distribution as it should be.
The logical continuation, culmination, and completion of the so-called “revolutions”: “French revolution”, “Communism” / “Nationalsocialism”, and now the “Feminism” as hell on earth.
In comparison to that which follows they always start harmlessly:
That video is real? Someone in the comments said it was an ad or something… but it looks pretty real to me. No, I already know how to fix it, but people don’t want to.
It’s not unclear why she did it, she did it so she could be infamous, so she could get attention to this disgusting extremism. That’s what it looks like anyways.
That’s what someone on the video said as well, that it was a promo.
Not sure, either way it’s bad. Satire/irony are a form of insanity. These are not jokes, there are serious issues that should be addressed as such. Regardless of if the video is satire, it’s disgusting and disturbing to even think about. The very idea of it is inhumane.
Women are just as brutal as men. This is not a sex or nationality problem, this is a human problem. Labels for humans do nothing but cause more confusion. Language should be redefined, as well as it’s usage.
