This is a bit over the head of a 16 year old, but you’ve introduced an important topic; the restrictions placed on mankind by the envious, and in particular, those wretched enough to act on their envy. The early balding boardroom seniors of global institutions, the self righteous internet trolls doxxing people, etc.
I had intuited that the notorious unforgivable sin that Jesus warns about is acting on envy. Seeing as it is the most long term destructive, insidiously corruptive behavior there is. I then looked up the passage and Lo, it is introduced by that statement about spoiling a Strong Mans house, which is impossible without Binding the Strong Man. I think that pretty much confirms my intuition.
Well, my last post was around 2 years ago, I’m 2 months from 18 now and have been exercising ever since.
Honestly I don’t see any major moral reason to give it up, because I now no longer work out just for aesthetics or to be stronger than my peers.
Now it’s a career goal, since once I graduate my senior year I’ll be in boot camp in the Coast guard. It’s also just a fun hobby, and I found the effort you put into strength training does spill over into other applications of effort outside of lifting.
That being said maybe I have a misunderstanding because I don’t see why any sin is “unforgivable” except the one you can’t confess: suicide. If you don’t mind sharing your mind on that that’d be great. Either way God bless you
