Jus getsit upriot in ya head an doesit upriot in ya hand, mam. An if it ain’t justta buzzin like a happy hornet’s nest on a hot dae, jus slipit a bit more huney and turn up da heat. Sawl thar is tuit. Justta hootn dunupriot hodown.
“Off Topic”??? Haha… Gees. I guess that should be expected from people who can’t distinguish “high brow” from intelligent. I suppose I should have written the Buddhist version of the same thing (if it ain’t furin, it ain’t sohfistacated).
What?
They don’t allow music in Germany??
It’s just What a Woman Wants by Shania Twain.
And what it says is, “Get it clear in your mind and make it right in your hand. And if it isn’t harmonious and momentous, then inspire it with a little perception of hope and threat.”
Yes, they don’t let us hear everything. they write that “Youtube doesn’t have an agreement yet with the GEMA (Society of musical performing and mechanical reproduction rights) about the use of the music, which could be heard in that video”. The link doesn’t work either. They don’t want us to know what a texan woman wants.
That’s what it means, I thought so. But it’s said in metaphers…" like a happy hornet’s nest on a hot dae",… the rest I couln’t translate, but it sounds pictorial.
But to get back to the topic, or better the ‘off-topic’: What is the salient feature of the ‘Texas Style’ and how does it influence the philosophy of the universe and life?
That one, they really should allow. Germans and Texans have a lot in common. But maybe that is what scares them.
To Texans, what you call “colloquial metaphor” is what is called “plain cuntry tawk”.
The fundamental concept being expressed is the age old, “right in mind, right in body” concept (right spirit, right body - “get it clear in your mind and then do it with precision”) with the addition of a goal, “momentous harmony” (ie “happy hornets nest on a hot dae”). And then also, if the goal is not yet met, if something isn’t quite up to par, then provide proper incentive through the presentation of something appealing to work for (“honey”) and something a bit threatening to work to avoid (“heat” - technically, all living things are guided by PHT, “Perception of Hope and Threat”).
But the more immediate point is that even country Texans know what ancient sages have been preaching for millinia.
I don’t know that you would have a reason to know this, but she’s canadian. (That was “Up north a bit” comment from James S Saint). Lyrics, without music.
Assuming that one started the “competition” and then understands that his hopes were too far-fetched and will not come true: … what would be the texan style to deal with the threats of the hope-less-ness, when there is nothing ‘appealing to work for’?
