Do you sense unity in existence?
Can you help my research
I’m afraid I can’t be sure what you’re asking…
You know how people can finish each others’ sentences or run their trains of thought so parallel that when they speak they say word-for-word the same exact thing at the same time? Or do you know how it feels to be having a really good day where you feel confident that you could do anything that occurs to you? Have you ever felt so immersed in something, a game, a drug, a song, a moment, that you become ego-less and your entire being seems to focus on being in the present and absorbing every timeless detail and sensation?
I would call those experiences of unity. So I could answer yes to your question. But I feel that it would be misleading to stop there with a simple yes.
For I do not only sense unity. My life has also been punctuated by experiences of, let’s say, disunity. When I am agitated, confused, frustrated, bored…when my life seems to become disjointed, my future and my purpose unclear. Anxiety in relationships. Miscommunication. Restlessness. I would call these experiences of disunity. So I experience both unity and disunity. And of course my own bio/psychological constitution is essential to my experience of the world. That is simply a necessary consequence of being sentient.
Now it is time for you explain what unity and disunity mean to you. Otherwise, I don’t feel like I have enough context to vote.
