Politically Between a Rock and a Hard Place

Empire meant something else back then, then it does now, though my view of imperialism does align far more with the ancient model.

This is partly true, but these half truths cause a false perception.

Yes many of these things are true but there’s far more too it, it’s the “why’s” and the “how’s” that are missing .

Stoic, empire is empire.

It is the same now as it was back then.

People are People.

Philsophy is Philosophy.

I guess that means it’s all the same.

I mean were exactly the same, and so are our philosophies… I hate using sarcasm.

I doubt one can really be ready, but my advice is to prepare yourself.

Things are going to get worse. The question is (at this point) do they need to?

Sometimes it takes that week in the hospital to stop smoking and get your life together.

Vermont is now asking the Federal Congress–the legislative body of the Federation of United States–to introduce a Constitutional amendment that would over-ride the SCOTUS’ decision in the Citizens United ruling. That’s the ruling that gives corporations status as entities with free-speech rights. Those free-speech rights allow the corps to put unrestricted monies into national campaigns–whether or not they’re US corps (all they have to be is corps headquartered in the US.)

To me, this is much more important than a perceived, undefined, ‘misuse’ of the military.

Oh I certainly Disagree with that as well but is that a “worse” issue I’m not sure.

If it isn’t the worst, it’s certainly among the worst since the fall-out and ramifications of the decision is an example of how our rights as citizens are being eroded.

Perhaps us citizens should form a Social Corporation, call it… Citizens United for added Ironic effect.

Everybody dies joker. So thats not much of a deterrant.
