Do you trust the reviews?
Do you trust internet shopping reviews? You know, those up to 5 star reviews from people that purchased something? I don’t. I think a lot of them are fake.
I trust them if the reviews are consistently high over multiple sites. You can usually find hundreds of reviews on Amazon, newegg, tigerdirect, overstock, ect.
And if you’re still not sure, and it’s the right type of item, you can usually tell how good it is if you check how much it is going for used on ebay. Obviously, if it’s a good item, the resale value is going to be higher. Just get an ebay account, search for the item, and then filter so only “completed listings” show up. Generally, and this is very generally, any item that has a used resale value on ebay of 50% plus is a good buy.
