There is no “substance” other than the noise itself. And every “object” is merely a concentration of that noise, concentrations of noise traveling through noise. The Earth is no more than a vast collection of concentrations of noise mucking about (feel free to take that any way you like
).
But all noise has common characteristics.
When noise concentrates, it matters, “forms matter”. It lingers about much longer. It remembers its conflicts and affects other noise that matters. That is why it matters. And concentration of noise will continue collecting bits of noise, becoming more concentrated until it reaches a maximum concentration at a center and a size determined strictly by its ambient environment and the inverse square of the radius from that center. When the maximum at the center has been reached and is maintained by the environment, the particle stops growing and is a “stable clump of noise”.
The only difference in a “living” clump of noise is that a living clump actually simulates inside the clump, the noise that matters outside the clump and thus is affected even when what matters is distant from it in both space and time. Thus it is said to be “conscious” (“with forethought/knowledge/awareness”). You are a living clump of noise, simulating within you, the noise that matters outside of you. And the only problem is that the simulation within often misrepresents the noise outside causing further conflicts within that occupy the potential and momentum of the clump, wasting the clump from within.
And another characteristic of all noise besides that it matters when concentrated, is that it always has a degree of polarity, positive and negative. When the noise concentrates around the positive aspects within each bit of noise, it delays within it (“remembers”) the positive impulses and filters out (“forgets”) the negative. It gains a positive bias and attitude. And when the noise concentrates on the negative aspects, it does the reverse, remembering only the negative and forgetting all positive.
And a “bipolar clump” is formed by compartmentalizing its positive simulation memories from its negative memories such that it can easily flip its focus from one to the other, but only one at a time. The bipolar has two simulations of the noise outside and is undecided as to which is more appropriate and should be given authority over the whole. Thus the bipolar often behaves as a positive clump one day and is easily triggered into a negative clump the next day, an “astable particle”.
Further is the fact that when a stable clump of noise has gained an attitude, trying to remember only its own polarized perspective in a noisy ambient, it consequentially, void of intent or force, migrates toward clumps of its opposite attitude. If a stable clump gains a strong positive attitude, other lesser clumps of negative attitude will gather around it as if desiring to be what they are not but unwilling to give up what they are (requiring too much changing too quickly, the MCR limit). And a stable “atom” is formed.
Clumps of neutral noise naturally migrate toward each other, but attitude causes a much stronger migration. And interestingly, due to the maximum size, stable clumps with attitude migrate away from their own kind even though they collect individual impulses of their own kind. This occurs simply because there are more free bits/impulses/wavelets of their own kind away from the other clump. As they gather, yet are restricted to size, they migrate toward the stronger field of free favorite noise which is away from the other clump of collected noise. Stable clumps of noise appear to “repel” their own kind of stable clump yet favor the same attitude and impulses. Once a gang has formed its maximum size, allowing no more members, any other gang of the same nature, must do its business elsewhere because the first gang consumes all of the business within its own territory, leaving any others to look elsewhere.
Attitude causes all “repelling” (migrating elsewhere).
But due to that inner simulation being always inaccurate to a degree and often a complete misrepresentation of the outside noise, a positive unstable clump within the right ambient can unknowingly collect up more and more negative impulses and grow negative much larger than other clumps around. When that happens, smaller positive clumps migrate toward it quite unwittingly, and form an opposite type of atom, “anti-matter” (think “rock groups”).
Or perhaps think of it this way; If there are two extreme experts at physics on a web forum who agree with each other in every way, when anything “negative” is said on a thread, one of the two experts “filters” the issue by responding and debating. The other expert sees that the issue is being handled and thus says nothing. But not wanting to merely watch, the second expert looks at another thread where some negative thought has been posted and responds there instead. Both experts didn’t respond to the first thread together because business was already being handled by the other, so one “repels” to another thread to continue his business there instead.
So the issue of “attraction” versus “repulsion” is not merely an issue of positive or negative, but also of maximized stability, lacking nothing and thus accepting no more and migrating elsewhere (“repelling” - “I’m bored here. Where’s some action?”). It is a complicated twist to the notions that “like-minded gather” and that “opposites attract”.
