Alright ladies and gentlemen we’re about six hours away from the overnight market ramp and I am the music DJ prank master going into overdrive here as your merry thought provoking funny man going into the world of global viral pandemic lockdown everywhere. We’re about to see how the overnight markets are going to be with that fantastic Tuesday morning opening bell of the United States stock market.
First, let’s take a poll here. Will the United States abolish the Iraqi government in safe guarding [plundering] the international oil markets for itself, or will it militarily invade Iran for their oil? Have you seen those WTI charts lately? Holy fuck! Type your responses in the thread and if you’re feeling particularly objective you can always answer by saying both. Alright son it’s looking good and this might be the one. You need to get your gear together, so here are some basic guidelines:
Nice pack there man, had my three packs ready to go four months ago.
three packs will significantly limit your mobility. you need to stash the contents of two of those in hidden caches near resourceful areas (lakes, rivers, etc., ideally below a ridge line if the terrain permits). all you want to have in the pack you carry are essentials needed to get to those areas where your supplies are. if you try running down the street with the POleece in hot pursuit, loaded down with three packs, i’ll shoot you myself.
Two of them are light, only one is heavy.
Where I’m going no police, soldiers, or anybody is going to find me. When I don’t want to be found disappearing is easy for me.
True story, when I was homeless I use to sleep on top of buildings looking down at apartment windows below at night, nobody noticed me because I’m very sneaky. I guess you can say being invisible has always been one of my gifts.
Impressive, soldier. I’m surprised you knew to do that. If staying overnight in a town that isn’t immediately surrounded by wooded areas, your best vantage point is on top of a building. The easiest are the grocery/department stores. The loading docks in the back are usually covered by a roof which is easily accessible. From there you get to the main roof. Also, metal ladders are more often than not mounted to the buildings. These are for maintenance men doing HVAC work and whatnot on the roof.
But you’ve got to get down before sunrise or you risk being seen and compromising yourself.
There’s also unsold vacant houses and abandoned industrial warehouses or factories too.
Then there are sewer systems or underground water ducts but I wouldn’t advise it unless you’re very desperate.
Which, during a martial law scenario, might be hotspots for others like yourself, and therefore occupied. That’s risky. Better to meet companions under different circumstances first, then to risk a surprise conflict with other people in a situation like that. Occupying abandoned buildings is much safer with a group… not alone.
Agreed, the best you can do as a lone individual in the shtf scenario is be a scavenger, unless you have a group of three and higher your own survival along with your defensive capabilities completely diminish.
Where I am going is raw isolated wilderness, another place I find comfort or refuge in but one always has to be aware of wild life and the weather. I’m hoping to bump into some similar minds along the way when this shit gets going forming a nice group of my own and I’m sure I will, but right now it’s all about surviving the initial fallout of society first. Shelter in place first and then afterwards spread out.
Those that survive the initial fallout will have a chance of rendezvous afterwards when their lives depend upon working together. Ultimately with the dissolution of the United States there’s going to be a variety of political and criminal factions against each other, will be interesting how all these factions begin being formed overtime. That being said, I’m hoping to form my very own. I have ideas of what I would like to form overtime.
Right but you don’t want to immediately disappear into the wilderness right away. Better to stay on the outskirts of a city for a while if not indefinitely. Cities are lifelines and full of resources. For instance, once you are able to identify a local patrol’s routine in a certain area, you’ll be able to move in safely to scavenge and loot… as well as meet more people.
You don’t wanna run off into the mountains like grizzly Adams, bro. That’s making it harder than it has to be.
I have just a place picked out already, it’s remote and hard to get to kind of wilderness but also in the middle of two urban metropolitan areas which borders its area by forty miles. Not too far from the Canadian border also. Twelve hours to get there by vehicle, three to four months by foot given my current position.
Update: Congress and the senate is discussing handing everybody $1000.00 only if they’re still working.
I suppose me being unemployed now I am shit out of luck getting me some bennies but of course given the virus and huge economic calamities on the horizon you’ll either be dead before you can spend the money or its value will be completely worthless by the time you receive it that beyond tinder and wiping your ass you’re not going to be able to buy anything with it anyways.
