Hello everyone! I happened to stumble on this website, it seems rather interesting. I read the rules, so hopefully my topic isn’t too… out of line.
Well, I just watched the movie, American History X. I’ve been turning it over in my head for a few days trying to tie it together. I want to say that this movie illustrates Locke’s idea that man is evil by nature. But I can’t quite say that because at the end of it, both characters change their viewpoints on racism.
Of course, the obvious social problem of this movie is racism, but how was it solved? We see how Derek ends up being the victim of white violence, yet at the end Danny is a victim of black violence. So what is the solution offered?
I hope to get some insightful replies! Thank you for taking the time to read this, ta!
