Rebuttal of Colin Powell's Speech to the UN

Good. Now that that’s settled… :stuck_out_tongue:

As Blix says, resolving all issues is NOT an instantaneous occurence. It can’t possibly be. It can only be long-term process. All his negative comments which you say represent the other side of the matter are simply his wishes that the ongoing process would move along faster and smoother. Make no mistake, that process IS happening, as he says. He wishes the degree would change though. Note that the inspections and disarmament teams DID completely shut down Iraq’s nuclear programmes.

I left that, and bits like it, out because I wanted you to bring them up in the manner you did. You misrepresent or misinterpret those statements as meaning that the processes in place are not working. They are working.

Again:

Not even going to try?

Moved from Essays & Theses

Powell is a known liar. That ghastly complexion of his makes him look sickly.

I heard someone from this website forum rather infamously shook his hand.

They probably admire invasions without provocation too.

Do they?

Ad hom attack.

Second Warning.

Twenty-four hour ban.

Why did you ban the joker for a couple of days? I like his posts.

What did he say that was so insulting?

This strikes me as unfair.

Because it is an ad hom attack and the person to whom it is directed is expressly clear if you read the thread in which said person remarked about shaking Powell’s hand.

That whole twenty four hour temporary ban tickled my funny bone.

I will have to remember that ILP’s ministry of truth is so sensitive to the feelings of others where thought crimes are not permissible without punishment.

Emotional trainwrecked fragility.

Now, where have I put my politically correct sensibilities of tolerance at?

Oh, damn! It would seem I have lost or misplaced them somewhere …

That’s a good one good to have you back James. I had a feeling this ban wasn’t going to keep you away!
