These Christians killed no one on those Crusades that took place when a young western civilization was finally starting to awaken after the years of being battered from just about all sides by vikings, asiatics, and those very same muslims they attacked. That was another time and place. Do not get stuck there or you might find yourself dying by the hands of a sword you did not prepare for…
Sagesound,
thanks for putting these up, i’ve watched several of D’s clips before but i didn’t see these.
are you a fan of Dawkins and/or Harris? i would enjoy reading a discussion here of one their recent books, say God Delusion or End of Faith. i think it would be profitable to isolate some of their significant points and analyze them one by one.
i am hoping someone will initiate this. i would but i just can’t start a project like that now.

Thank you for a refreshing bit of historical consciousness. 1095 CE was another time and place and its time people started reading about the crusades rather than keep referring to it as a premeditated-malicious-slaughter fest.

Greetings Anselm,
You’re very much welcome. I am a fan, yes. I’m in the middle of The God Delusion now, but I do need to get my hands on Harris’ End of Faith… The thing is, while I’m not an atheist, Dawkins has certainly persuaded me in that direction alot more than I used to be. Agnosticism seems to be a dying dream, and theism is, of course, a nearly dead one.
Sagesound, please start a topic when you begin reading End of Faith…it’s amazing.
Harris’ writing is eloquent and his logic seemingly impenetrable, I’d assume in part due to his extensive background in philosophy.
