riddle me this.....can anyone make sense of this question

This question is based on Gracyk’s article on Led Zeppelin/Rock music.

Do you think, as Gracyk suggests, that the musical space that rock music creates from the sympathetic response of the audience is ‘humanly community,’ which is distinct from ‘spiritual ideal’ that the absolute music in the western art music tradition? Where do you think the significant difference between the two disparate musical spaces (‘space’ is a metaphor for the shared meaning of music, when meaning is the product of listeners who belong to the same musical culture) lies, especially in terms of the moral quality of people residing in each space? Do you think, on the other hand, the distinction between the two musical ‘sympathy space’ can be no more than a conceptual marking? What are the reasons for this view?Â

Sargento… If you post a citation (or link or whatever) to the article in question, so I can read it first, I’ll put in my two chips. I’ve got a lot of interest in this sort of thing, I’m just reluctant to toss ideas around without getting up to speed on the context.
