Why is housing always a problem ? In the socialist/communist societies, everyone was supposed to be given a home, but in all those societies homes were scarce and/or very costly and they had a waiting period of decades. Why on earth would a socialist regime not produce the one most fundamental item of equality HOMES FOR EVERYONE? That is really amazing, at least this is one thing they could have done.
If you look at the big three USA, Europe and Japan, only the US has a decent situation. Homelessness in the US is simply an “ideological” choice the americans like because if you are poor you should be punished by not having a home. The US could easily solve its homeless problem, but the people love the idea of seeing how the homeless are punished. The US however is the only country that has any decent hoUsing costs for most of the people.
Europe and Japan absolutely suck because there are few homes that are extremely expensive and it is actually very hard to buy a home in these places. Japan really takes the cake, then they complain that their GDP doesn’t grow! If all your money goes to paying for a little room, whats left ?
It is amazing that after all the right and left wing hype, no one can solve the housing problem! WHY IS IT SO HARD TO CREATE AT LEAST A MINIMUM CONDITION FOR HOUSING EVEN IN THE RICHEST COUNTRIES?
There are some 5 trillion dollars just sitting in world banks not doing anything . You can imagine building some 50 million homes at 100,000 dollars each, say 20 million in the USA, 20 million in Europe, 10 million in Japan. Then you would see GDP fly in all three continents at growth rates of 10% a year for decades.
Who knows what the total worldwide debt is ? a few trillion (only japan I think has 1.2 trillion) . Just make more debt, who cares. The GDP would skyrocket for decades and geatly compensate in the long run.
Oh dear. GDP is a measure of economic activity, not economic health.
Yeah, sure, I can increase activity on my bank accounts by spending the money I have, and even more so by contracting debt, but I won’t become wealthier. In fact I’ll be poorer.
I aways find it amazing that people are so willing to spend other people’s money so recklessly and burden their children with the repayments.
i am even more amazed that just because the money is their people think we should spend it as quickly as possible.
Then a tidal wave hits or an earthquake, then what?

I know here in America we have millions of homeless living in shelters. Shelters we pay for. I know because we have one in our town. People from NYC come up here when the Hoighty toighty libs down there dont want to see them in their bcakyards so they send them to mine, and use my money to do it.
Half these guys have plenty of money to live in their own place. They would rather live for free that way they get to drink more. Welfare and SS pay these guys plenty, not to mention welfare and food stamps. They walk to the liqour store with a bigger wad of cash than most of the townies.
A quarter of them are felons and should be in jail.
and the other qurater are actually good men that hit hard times, or are somehow disabled(mentally).
