I think the case of ecmandu is a most intriguing one from a scientific perspective. His is one of the most profound examples of the classical freudian defense mechanism known as ‘rationalization’ that we have ever seen. An entire philosophical system of thought at its origins nothing more than an elaborate, subconcious justification and defense of one’s not getting laid as often as one wants. If that’s what it really is. hard to tell since it’s not soemthing that can be verified empirically.
